Who knew hot sauce could come in so many forms and flavors! Had a terrific time on the tour and it was interesting to learn about the family and the region. Our tour guide Lisa was phenomenal (even with a bad knee!) she was fun and energetic. The tour guided you from the peppers all the way through the finished product. My favorite was the Raspberry flavored peppered jam! Took home a few bottles!

We did the Cooking Demo yesterday with Karen as our chef and it was a phenomenal experience. Very educational and the food was amazing. You end up getting a complete meal including appetizer, salad and dessert. Our entree was crawfish etoufee and it was outstanding. Highly recommend this experience if you get the opportunity.

We stopped there while we were on our 24 day bus trip to the deep south with Nagel Tours. The factory was not in production when we stopped there as it was a Sunday. We did tour the grounds and viewed everything else.It was very entertaining to see.We had lunch in the restaurant on site and they put us in a separate room and served us a Cajun meal .It was a sampler of four different foods .I also had the tabasco ice cream

"One of the highlights of our road trip and very worth a slight detour"

While planning our road trip itinerary, we reserved a guided tour for our visit last Tuesday and were so glad we did. Lisa was the perfect guide. You can tell she enjoys her job and interacting with all of the guests. She was full of information and immersed us in the history and process of making pepper sauce. We enjoyed the tastings at the end of the tour with a favorite item being the chipotle raspberry ice cream in addition to all of their pepper sauces. I was not a huge “hot sauce” fan prior to this tour but Lisa encouraged me to try as many sauces as I could and I am now a fan of “pepper sauce”. I even enjoyed a drizzle of the garlic cayenne sauce on my pepperoni pizza last night. We purchased several other items in the store including the Family Reserve sauce, pepper pulp and Tabasco kettle corn. If you are anywhere near Avery Island, add this tour to your plans. If you’re lucky, Lisa will be your guide and you will not be disappointed.
