"Rooms need to be cleaned"

I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of my room. The sheets were clean but everything else needed serious attention.

This is a lovely place to stay. The hotel was so pretty, clean and well maintained. The staff perfecto. Our room had the prettiest large dark wood furniture, even a large poster bed that was hevanly. The pool was great. So many attractions close by, laser tag, arcade, and bowling ally. The beach was close. Lots of great restaurants close by. The taco truck next door was amazing. Even an ER a 1 1/2 miles away, to bad we needed it at 5am. But they saw me quick and I was out in an hour.

"Terrific choice"

My husband and I attended an excellent concert at Club LA and chose to stay at the summer place in when we were in town. I was a little leery because it was so much more affordable than anywhere around. I am so glad I didn’t act on that weariness and I booked it this hotel. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is well-maintained. The lobby, the elevator, the halls, the pools and our room were all very clean. They had a packed house the night we stayed and parking was a bit snug, especially for our big excursion. However, we found a place to park in the far back. The breakfast was good, but does have room for improvement. The beds were very comfortable. Our king size bed had 5 to 6 pillows on it. However, the pillows really do not do the hotel justice. Everything else at this hotel is excellent minus the pillows. Every member of the staff, including housekeeping and the breakfast staff that we had contact with were amazing, very friendly and happy. This facility has now become our preferred place to stay when we come to Destin to a concert at club LA. (We will just bring our own pillows) :)

"Clean, close to the beach, ok service"

We stayed recently for a quick beach trip. When we arrived, we noticed our TV was not working. This caused some concern because we did not want to be charged for a TV was broken upon arrival and also gave us pause regarding how well the room was checked between stays. However, the staff, after asking if we were sure we tried to use the remote (???), were able get another TV in the room. The room was very clean, balcony is spacious. The location is great and it is walking distance or a very short drive to restaurants. We were disappointed that the balcony view of the Gulf was obstructed by a new construction. So those who pay for the balcony with the hopes of nice views may want to reconsider. The most disappointing part of our visit was my husband's interaction with a staff member who rudely told him not to take the complimentary toothpaste, after he picked up two (one for him and one for me). He also has braces and needs to brush his teeth often so we thought it was odd that she chose to assume that we were trying to hoard toothpaste. Overall, a nice, conveniently located property, we just wish we would have had better customer service.

My room was a great value. When I arrived I had a personal preference request and received a great solution from Nakeisha at the front desk. She took care of my problem and significantly increased the experience of this stay. In the age of interrupting bored attendants from their cell phones its refreshing to have someone like Nakeisha interested in the joy of customer service with a smile.
