"You get what you pay for"

Stayed here for a concert because it was cheaper than the Hard Rock or Ocean Resort, but you really do get what you pay for. This place needs a major makeover - it’s outdated, nothing to do (everything was closed or empty), and dingy. I get that there’s a water park attached, but the whole place reeks of chlorine. Also a little odd that the “family-friendly” resort is Mardi Gras themed 😂 but the carpets were stained, ripped, and definitely not vacuumed. Our room door didn’t close all the way, so we had to keep pulling it shut. The AC felt more like heat. The beds were hard and the pillows were comically thin. Couldn’t even find an outlet to charge my phone at night. While I’m glad it wasn’t expensive to stay here, it definitely wasn’t worth the money and they desperately need renovation. Maybe next time I’ll splurge on the higher quality resorts.

The room we got was not good at all, it smells of smoke and stains on the chair and floors also the mattress was caved in the middle. Told the front desk and they gave me another room. We had gotten three rooms the king room and not good at the the double is better.

Our stay at the showboat was memorable for sure. If you’re looking for “New Orleans Mardi Gras” style ruins then this is the place for you. Elevators were gross, hallways and walkways were worst. When we walked into the room it smelled like Snoop Dogg & Wiz Kalifa were hiding in the closet.(they did have someone come up and clean and spray the room again. Hair dryer didn’t work because it looked like it was previously on fire. Shower water was Luke warm at best. Sink water sputters out of the faucet. I don’t know how the restaurants in the building were because there was no way I was eating from any of them after seeing the condition of the rest of the hotel. The one and only good thing about this place for families is the arcade. But you can always just come visit the arcade if you stay else where. Also the arcade staff were working hard I give them that much.

the worst experience of my life. What a mistake I made going to Showboat. I was misled by the website. The place is filthy and there are no decent restaurants. I asked for a disable room with walk in tub and there was none. I reported a problem with the refigerator (broken temp button and too much ice in freezer. Not a thing was done a bout it. NO WASH CLOTH!!! Elevator not working

The place could be managed better, the carpets in the rooms are dirty and disgusting they are probably never changed and never been washed. We ordered different room and they gave us different room. Room service only by request. We requested towels and shampoo it was delivered within 10 to 15 minutes, which is not bad. I’m not complaining about that. Their restaurants were very expensive and the quality of food was junk. There was only two restaurants in there building. there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms for the three nights we stayed in. I did call the front desk and they said there’s nothing we can do l. The lucky snake arcade was fun good and a lot of options. Hard to window, but the kids had fun. Self barking is available 24 hours be aware when you check in during the day we had to wait 45 minutes to get an elevator after that we give up and we took the stairs. The stairways were the most disgusting place I have ever seen in my life. It was dried piss everywhere and it extinct like poop and piss we got grossed out from that who knows how many people have taken a piss on those stairs the gym area was good and clean The island waterpark is big, but they overfilled it with people. There was no limit on how many people they can be there both days we went there. There is no room in the lazy river lazy river was completely filled and people would have to be in line to get inside, that’s how many people were there. It was too chaotic. The adult pool was nice and clean and quiet. The restaurants in the waterpark were crazy expensive and you’re not allowed to bring any food or drinks from outside I personally will never take my family close to that place again very bad experience
