The resort features a waterpark with several slides and a 40-foot pirate ship in a zero-depth entry pool, a lap pool and adult-only hot tub, a full-service restaurant, poolside tiki bar, free breakfast, and free WiFi throughout the property. Each guest room includes a flat-screen TV, microwave, and refrigerator, with upgrades to poolside suites offering jetted hot tubs. Guests can enjoy the on-site fitness center, business center, guest laundry facilities, game room, sundries/mart, and more.

For more thrilling adventures, it’s a 15-minute drive to Adventureland Park and less than two miles to Merle Hay Mall. Feeling lucky? "Gross…only thing that could help this place is a wrecking ball"

We stayed at Ramada Tropics Hotel & Indoor Waterpark from Friday through Sunday with extended family, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The check-in process was terrible. The line was extremely long, and it took over 45 minutes just to get to the front desk. After a long day of travel, this was incredibly frustrating and set the tone for the weekend. When we got to our rooms, they were clearly not clean. There was visible dust in the vents, debris on the floor, and the overall condition felt neglected. To make matters worse, there was no hot water for showers during our stay. The indoor water park — which was the main reason for booking — was in very poor condition. The water was cloudy to the point that you could not see the bottom of the shallow (3’6”) pools. It felt unsanitary and unsafe. The area was also extremely overcrowded, and supervision was lacking. Lifeguards were inattentive and did not enforce basic safety rules. At one point, a child had a bloody nose in and around the pool, and it was not promptly cleaned up, which was very concerning. The “free breakfast” was another frustrating experience. The line took about 45 minutes just to get a waffle, with very limited and low-quality options. The drink stations were chaotic and not well-maintained. Beyond that, the entire property felt run down. The parking lot was dirty, and the fitness room was essentially unusable — most machines were broken, and there were only two dumbbells available. This trip was meant to be a fun family weekend centered around the water park for the kids, but the condition of the hotel made it hard to enjoy. If not for our family being together, we would have left and requested a refund. I would not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made in cleanliness, maintenance, and overall management.

So I had booked a room and when I got to the hotel they pulled up my name but then stated they didn’t have any rooms and didn’t know why I was allowed to book a room.

Room was nice. fridge was cold. Bathroom was updated. Towels were new. Pool waterpark was good for smaller kiddos. Breakfast was okay. Would stay again. Parking lot area was dirty.

Urbandale location. The TV in our room didn't work. After contacting the front desk, which was a challenge in itself because there's no phones in the rooms and the front desk doesn't like to answer the phones. Once I got ahold of someone I was told that there was nobody there to handle it until tomorrow later morning. Which I believe is check out time. I wasn't offered to move to a different room considering the hotel wasn't full. Nor was I offered any compensation for the inconvenience of not having a TV .Reconsider before staying at this location.

"Would save your money and go somewhere else"

We waited 2 hours to get into our room which they changed our room because it still wasn’t ready. The pools were nasty! All of them! Mold on the edges stuff floating around, almost green water. The only one that presented clean was the kiddie pool and the water was freezing cold. Our room still had trash under the bed from previous stays and our shower had like warm water at best. Would not stay here again.
