"Just like visiting foreign country but without the passports!"

The place is was loaded with non working foreign people that aren't exactly tourists if you know what I mean... Trash everywhere and we didn't feel safe. Wish they had let us kn0ow what what going on before we arrived. It was hard to find any "hotel" staff, but lots of security guards and charity workers everywhere... who were no help and of course and no one spoke English. Just like visiting foreign country but without the passports!

"Horrible experience "

Horrible! Booked our room a month in advance. Took the kids to Legoland. Had dinner in Old town. Checked in around midnight just to find out they had no room for us! They had given it away! This is ridiculous! left in tears with three children under 12 not knowing where to spend the night. We had to drove 30 miles north to find a hotel as everything nearby was booked. NEVER will I ever book any Ramada hotel again and I recommend you do the same unless you want to get stranded for the night.

"Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting."

I found this place to be disgusting and the owners should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. The carpet looks like it has not been cleaned for decades. I was not even comfortable walking on the carpet in my socks, let alone my bare feet. The wifi would not work anywhere in the room other than right next to the door. I complained multiple times but when I asked for a refund, guess what...they claimed to have no record of me complaining! Well, if the person I complained to at front desk does not care about my concerns then of course he would not have made a record of it!! Honestly, don't even begin to waste your money at this cesspool of filth.

Staff are friendly and they work really hard to keep up with this place but they are so short on staff I now understand why the place is all run down, rooms are old and dirty the elevator has no permit everything is bad except the friendly staff, I got room 129 it was so dirty and nasty I was about to cry nothing like the photos in their website I had to take pictures and take it to the front desk to ask for another room we got a 2nd floor room and it was a little better you do get charge $14.00 parking per day and is really not worth it we also saw prostitution activity at this location it was so scary and uncomfortable for us we wanted to leave the same day but we had no other option since we would be charge a fee for cancellation and no other rooms were available at other hotels so we just stay the days we booked but most of the time we were out and just came to sleep I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are traveling with minors is not a safe place at all

"Motel Lodging for the SDCC"
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5
Reviewed July 31, 2023
My husband and I stayed here during the SDCC, we picked this place because we booked well in advanced, really cheap. Location - PRO - first SDCC purple shuttle stop (in front of Hilton), always had seats. CON - not close to any decent restaurants Room - PRO - fridge, microwave and air conditioning were working. Very convenient to have. Shower amenities are Dove soap bars and shampoo/conditioner. CON - walls and doors were sticky. Carpet was worn out and dirty. Shower sprout was leaking, we tried to tighten the handle but still wasn’t really working. Maybe the valve is too old/deteriorated. Free morning breakfast- PRO - free coffee (eating area or lobby). Staff (especially the female employee who worn bright red lipstick) was so friendly and helpful. CON - I won’t complain about free food. We are grateful for everything we got (even though sausages were a little salty) and saved money on one meal. Front Desk - checked us in and out smoothly, kept our suitcases safely inside for few hours on Sunday after we checked out. Parking lot - there were spaces and trash cans to thrown away waste. Smelled like pee though…I was sure homeless people camped out and peed there. I probably would not stay here, if it were a normal trip, however, during the SDCC, it’s an okay choice if you booked early and got a cheap price (anything below $200 is awesome).
