"Fine for staying and sleeping but eat elsewhere."

We wanted a convenient hotel with shuttle bus service for an overnight stopover when en route from northern Mexico via Phoenix to London. The Radisson seemed ok and, in genetral, was v. satisfactory. Quite a high standard of room - better than some roughly equivalent hotels, I would say; reasonably spacious, pleasant decor. Shuttle busi service (call from airport) worked well, very amiable driver, and v. short drive. Chief downside: eating arrangements are disappointing. Breakfast just about ok, but had much better at these prices (re price: we originally did not book/pay for breakfast but were offered an online special deal - before arriving - at $12 a head, which seemed reasonable, so we took it. Worth taking, given US hotel breakfast prices, but I would not have wanted to play much more!). Worse, the evening 'dinng' arrangements were v. disappointing. I would have thought an airport hotel of this approx. category would at leats offer some reasonable dining option. In fact, fthere is (or was) no dining room/restauarnt (the 'breakfast area' was closed in the evening); the only option was the bar. This was small - maybe a dozen tables - with a v. limited menu. The lady in charge was run off her feet (or so it seemed). Service wasn't fast. And the food was disappointing. We had some fairly skimpy quesadillas and a so-so 'south-western salad' that was meant to come with a 's.w.' (chipotle-flavoured) dressing. The dressing - when it finally arrived - seemed to have come from an auto oil sump: thick, murky and, that I could tell, with not a trace of chipotle (and chipotle is hard to miss); I switched to vinagrette which wasn't much better. Unfortunately, there isn't much by way of local restaurants though, just behind the hotel, 3 mins walk away, is a very good breakfast/sandwich bar (no alcohol but some excellent fruit squashes): the Lunch Lounge (I think). But that's not open in the evening. So, the Radisson is fine for staying and sleeping but eat elsewere. Or go hungry.

Great airport hotel - all th3 staff bend over backwards to be helpful. Thry have a shuttle, are far enough awat from the airport to be quiet. Breakfast buffet is pricey but good. Brian, Desire and Leslie are true assets to the hotel. I'd stay here again

"Don't Go there!"

The guy working at the front counter acted like a Thug. I checked in and even thought I was paying 132.97 for a room, there was no breakfast...per the clerk (thug) at the counter!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so I may have had a bit of an attitude by this point. Well when we got to our room #436, the room was clean and in whta appeared to be in good order....except that it was really cold! I noticed that the thermostat said the room was 75 degrees....NOT! It felt more like 55!? So we left and went to dinner, when we got back, the room temp was like....well you could hang meat in there! I called the front desk and and the guy got all up in my face demanding that I respect him...(When I was growing up, I was taught that respect was earned!) So he put me on hold and after a bit, I realized that he wasn't coming back, so I got dressed and went to the desk...He was in the back room yucking it up with his buddies! Bottom line I told him that I wanted a different room, and was told NO....I told him he was supposed to provide me a room….afterall I had paid for it!!! The clerk told me, he was putting me out of his hotel for not showing him respect!!! As I was packing and getting my wife out of bed and dressed so we could leave, another employee told me that this guy was like a loose cannon! We were the 3rd couple he had thrown out that day!!! I asked the guys name so I would know who threw me out, and so I could complain, the person told me it was Mendoza. When I called to complain to corporate, I found that, that particular Raddison was not owned by Mariott, but that it is a franchise of Choice Hotels…Choice told me that it was a privately owned property!? Long story told Priceline gave me my $$$ Back!

The Raddison is a nice reasonably priced hotel near the airport. But we never heard a plane. Eating was acceptable but not gourmet. Small lounge with a nice selection. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. We will stay there again.
