All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, seating area, work desk, and the bathrooms include granite countertops, rain shower heads, lighted mirrors, and sliding barn doors. The hotel offers room service. Guests can work out and stay fit, thanks to the hotel's on-site fitness center.

"Be aware"

We have stayed at the Portland Marriott Waterfront a number of times because it is conveniently located near Keller Auditorium where we go to see the opera or ballet. I like the hotel, and if you have a river view room, it is nice. I always opt for the "AAA parking package" rate because it includes valet parking along with the AAA discount. The problem seems to be this rate doesn't show up correctly in the hotel's computers so there is often a parking charge on my bill in addition to the parking I have already paid for. This is so frustrating time after time. Usually the desk clerk can straighten it out. Last time we were there, the clerk refused to believe I had the parking package and charged me the $54 anyway. I complained via email to the Room Operations Manager, who sent back a formulaic message about "sharing the feedback" with no mention of refunding the overcharge. I am staying there again in a couple weeks but I am bringing copies of every webpage in the reservation process to prove I am entitled to parking. Really don't like being cheated. Also I hate their stupid "destination fee" thing.

"Comfortable and Convenient Hotel"

The hotel is in a convenient location downtown and the staff was pleasant. The amenities in the hotel including the M Club and breakfast was welcomed and were fully stocked to enjoy. The gym was expansive and had a good range of equipment overall. The room offered a good view of the city and river. The bed was very comfortable and the floor was quiet overall.

Rooms were well maintained. Clean. Very comfortable bed. All staff kind and generous. Bar staff went completely out of their way to seat us in large groups.

"Bland but adequate hotel"

Average hotel with limited amenities. Coffee shop with a range of espresso drinks, sweets, yogurt and pastries for breakfast on the go. Pricey but adequate. Full breakfast at hotel restaurant. Again, adequate. Breakfast buffer was unappealing. Wait staff seem overworked and hurried. Rooms are clean and unremarkable. No porter service. Desk staff efficient but not interested in much beyond the routine check in and check out. Annoying scent pumped sporadically through the hotel that turns out to be an irritant to eyes and sinuses. View of river nice. Location is walkable to Pearl district.

"Business rate and the view are the perks."

Staff was friendly and gave me a complimentary upgrade and M club access. As others have mentioned, the rooms need a refresh. Old and dirty wall paper, cracked tile in the bath and a very loud AC unit though it is cleverly hidden. For a quick business stay, the view alone was worth it. Not really thrilled about the amenity charge since I couldn’t use any of what they charge for except the food and beverage credit. The M club was the real disappointment. When the desk gave me access, I asked if they had bottled water or sodas and she said yes. When I went there around 7 PM there was a water station with a bucket of melted ice. Tea, coffee, and a bar, however, there was no one at the bar nor was there any food or snacks that people would want or could grab for the 24 hour access. There was somebody vacuuming the floor and a few people hanging out and chatting, but certainly not the type of lounge amenities I’ve had before. Overall, with the company discount, I would stay here for the low rate, but if I wanted a more middle to high-end experience, I would book elsewhere.
