"The Planters Inn - Charleston"

Stayed at The Planters Inn a few years ago and loved it. Location is ideal and I love the architecture. However this time it seemed as though management and staff training is slipping. Some of the website info is incorrect - champagne bar, entertainment in the bar. Upon arrival we noticed there was only 2 towels no wash cloths, hand towels , etc. It took 3 times of asking for towels. I do love this inn - I hate seeing it not maintain the quality and posture that brought us there again. Not sure about next time.

A beautiful cozy quiet and that is in a perfect location. Access everything first time ever we did not drive or rent a car and we did not need one walking distance. Everywhere amenities is very nice. We have stayed in many places downtown in this by our favorite.

"A Standout Charleston Inn with Comfort, Charm, and Superb Service"

Overall, we loved The Planters Inn. We chose the Premier Grand King and truly appreciated the spaciousness of both the room and the bathroom. The service throughout the property is exceptional and really makes guests feel special and relaxed. I especially appreciated the attentive housekeeping, as much of my travel lately does not include daily room service. The location is perfect, and we loved the in-room coffee and espresso setup. We had planned to stay in on Saturday to watch the Panthers game, which is why we made use of the chairs, TV, and takeout. While the chair cushions were not ideal, the bed was extremely comfortable and more than made up for it. The lobby and reading room, with complimentary coffee and tea, offer a wonderful atmosphere and add to the overall charm of the inn. While Charleston has many newer hotels and inns, the spaciousness of our room, the intimate feel of The Planters Inn, and the fair pricing make it a standout choice for us. The cocktails and food at Peninsula Grill were outstanding. We will absolutely stay here again. note: If you are on a work trip the wifi is spotty and the furniture/desk not conducive to working in the room.

Check in and valley parking was easy. They helped us without asking with our bags to the room. Our room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed an evening at the restaurant and our favorite coconut cake. Everything was great.
