The hotel room is fine, though small. I rented it because of the ease of access to locations of interest. Unfortunately, the fan coil unit or distributed heat pump on the ceiling would not cool at all. In fact, the hotel reset the control panel (Ecosmart) once after I complained that it was 80F in the room with a cooling call for 65F. The reset brought it down to 76F. I went to sleep (sort of) and woke up to find that the fan coil was pushing hot air and the room was approaching 90F. The night attendant could not do anything, since they did not know how to reset the Telkonet garbage controls. I checked the airfilter and it was filthy. No matter how many times I turned the thermostat on or off it would start with a fan, the switch to blowing further hot air. I finally resorted to leaving the door fully open with a table propping it. I asked to be moved and they had no rooms to offer. It was a miserable experience and I did not sleep at all.

"Josyia is what you’d expect from a Curio and then some."

This hotel is beautiful but not the topic of my review. Josyia is without doubt the reason for our 5 star review. We had called ahead to request a pack n play for our daughter who is incapable of sleeping in our bed. They saw our Hilton status and assured us there would be one when we checked in. However, when we checked in, they were all in use in other rooms. Josyia decided to find a way to say yes to us and walked to a partner hotel to secure a pack n play for our baby girl. Within minutes she was asleep and calm all thanks to Josyia’s efforts. This is the Curio Experience.

"stay near the Garden"

Stayed at the Pennyweight night of a show at the Garden. First off, the General Manager, Hannah is spectacular. You can tell she takes pride in her hotel operations as well. Clean hotel, well decorated rooms. The location was super convenient to the Garden and was so easy to walk to Faneuil Hall as well. A must stay if you need to be in that area.

"Not worthy of Hilton Curio name"

We are a couple, 2 night stay in early September in a King Deluxe room using points as a Diamond member. We tried to address these issues with the property after our first night and at checkout but the issues wee never addressed. Instead we were offered 40,000 points to just forget the problems. (1) We arrived and there was no valet and no one at the front desk. Key card machine was broken and we were simply asked for ID and credit card. No customer service skills. (2) Dog barking in a room a few doors away at night and we called to see of the hotel could assist in finding the owners who left the dog alone in the room. The dog parked for over 1 hour and stopped just before midnight. (3) The air conditioning stopped at 2 am and the room temperature climbed to 78 F. We called the front desk and reported the problem to which they agreed that it might be an issue and others had complained. I asked for a manager to call in the morning, but no one did. (4) We "lost" a pair of prescription sun glasses which were left on the dash of our car which we valet parked ($67/night plus tip). (5) Breakfast food was good, but the staff is very limited. I believe the waiter was also the chef. (6) Lighting is poor in the bathroom and the main room which is small. (7) They took our handtowels and washcloths after the first night but did not restock them. (8) There are 3 smallish bathtowels for 2 people. Could have used an extra towel given the size. (9) the hotel is convenient for the TD Garden, but after that the location and the neighborhood don't justify staying there for another type of visit. There are better options just 3 or more blocks away.
