4-star is very generous, I would rate this hotel a 3-star at most. Plug sockets in the room didn't work, no full length mirror, very dimly lit rooms, bathroom had a weird smell. I was given an adjoining room and it was the noisiest room I've ever stayed in which negatively impacted sleep and disrupted the trip given I was there for work, not a holiday. Staff at the front desk were quite rude (staff at the drop-off point outside were a delight though!), room service opens comically late (10am for breakfast?!) and there are very limited non-seafood options at the restaurant (don't bother if you're allergic like me). This trip was organised by my work who were running events at the hotel so I didn't choose the location, but I wouldn't return.

My family has been staying at Marina del Rey Hotel ever since it opened a decade ago. But I love most is seeing some of the same original employees as well as several new additions to the staff. Shout out to MY FAVORITE concierge, Nancy and sweet Chloe at the desk. The manager, Mo, keeps everything running smoothly with a smile. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel valued and welcomed even to the cleaning staff and valet service. Our favorite amenities include the beautiful pool and dock scenery, as well as the live music three nights a week in the bar/restaurant.
