One of the best vacations. The location is great, the beach is across the street. It is about a mile long. Clean and warm water. The hotel is wonderful. Loved our room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Housekeeping came every day with fresh towels and bottled water. Everyone we meet (from front desk to housekeeping) couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy! The shuttle to and from the waterfront was great. They also picked us up and took us to the airport. I would like to thank a few in particular, Anita at the Tin Cup Chalice Bar &Chill. She greeted us each morning for Breakfast with her wonderful smile . Also Pablo, Who made sure we had everything we need . Jeremy the shuttle driver to the airport. And Luann who took us to the waterfront. Both a wealth of knowledge. Looking forward to visiting again next yeat!

"Relaxing, island resort at Smather's Beach"

We chose this resort for my wife's 60th birthday. We had stayed at Ft. Myers' Margaritaville a year earlier. The two resorts are different experiences. Key West is a small island and the resort, located on the south part of the island, has fewer common areas and a smaller pool. However, it is directly across from the two miles long Smather's Beach, and there is a crosswalk with stoplights to get you to the beach right in front of the resort. It 5 minutes from the airport, and the resort sent a shuttle for when we called after we got our bags. They have a separate shuttle that runs to the north side of the island on the top of the hour and returns on the half hour. We also used Lyft drivers and there were plenty. I am disabled, and the resort had well placed elevators to access any floor and a ramp to get to the pool. They provided towels for us at the front desk to take to Smather's Beach, and there were always plenty of towels at the pool. We bought a package that included up to $50 to use at their restaurant, Tin Cup Chalice, for breakfast. The food was outstanding. The service was even better through Santa, Lillian and Candy. The front desk employees were extremely helpful and accommodating especially Theresa and Yvelin. We had signed up for Margaritaville Perks last year (free) and we were offered several choices by email before we arrived. We chose the booty box which was our choice of 6 packaged snack food items in their lobby store that lasted us all week. The room was accommodating with an extremely comfortable bed at the right height (not too low) to allow me to get up and down easily. We had a small refrigerator, microwave and Keurig with K cups provided. The room had an island feel, and everything was new and well thought-out. The resort had coffee in the lobby each morning and iced water with fruit in the afternoons along with fresh baked cookies. The other guests ranged from young couples to families to older people. It was calm and relaxing. The HVAC has a high fan feature that totally served as white noise to drown out any ambient hallway noise. Occasionally, we heard a jet land or takeoff nearby, but that was a non issue. The best part of the resort was the employees followed by the beach being directly across the street. Our pre-trip cost was exactly equal to our check-out cost. We would go back and stay there tomorrow.

You could tell from the second we sat at the bar that Levan cares deeply about his customers and loves his job! He served us multiple lunches and our last dinner on our most recent trip. He is social, serves with a smile and he interacts with the guests. We appreciate Levan and his amazing service! See you next time Levan!
