Lovely hotel. The rooms were large and spacious. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Good location and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was available until 2pm. There was a restaurant.

This is a rough draft of the review. Originally, I was going to write a very favorable review, but my wife pointed out that we will want to come back, and we don’t want it to be completely booked, or have the reasonable rates go up. Nevertheless, I feel obliged to at least give credit to the front desk staff, who are friendly and helpful. Natalie saw that we were older, and not coming there for a Halloween party and assigned us a room on the top floor, away from the noise of the street and ground floor on Halloween. Speaking of the top floor, we had a terrific view of the city, including a partial view of the classic Capital Records building. The valet parking was friendly and efficient, though we didn’t retrieve our car until we left. We were there to go to the Pantages Theater, which is only a block away. And all of the interesting spots on Hollywood Boulevard are walking distance. (We walked to Musso & Frank for dinner). That’s enough about convenience. I will probably edit out any reference to the Metro subway station being a short walk. The room was well appointed, the bed comfortable, and the closet large enough for two people to share. (What’s with these hipster hotels with tiny 18” closets?). The linens and towels are of good quality, as were the toiletries. The huge tub was interesting, but slow to fill, even to a low level. I would have liked to have electric outlets closer to the desk, but I always carry an extension cord. But wait, I found something negative! There is no coffee maker in the room! There’s plenty of coffee available in the hotel or nearby, but not in the room. I never make coffee in the room anyway, but you cannot heat up water for instant oatmeal. I should emphasize this in the final version of the review. Most likely my final version will give the hotel fewer stars and some title like “Why No Coffee Maker?”

I brought my 13 year old daughter to the Everly Kimpton for a concert at the Greek Theater. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by Adrian at the front desk. There were a few issues with our room as I had booked through a 3rd party online, and didn’t realize that. It was marketed as the Kimpton, but I didn’t realize that there are actually behind the scenes companies managing reservations for all these hotels these days. 

Adrian gave me the behind the scenes low down to call the hotel and press 0 for the front desk when I book, if I have a special request, which I did. 

At first, we weren’t able to get the room just right as I had requested online, so Adrian upgraded me to a beautiful, larger room which included view of the Hollywood sign for my daughter and I. They even threw in coffee gift cards, a discount for their shopping items, let us have early arrival and late departure!! I’ve never been to any hotel that allows you to leave at 2pm! 

While we were only there for 1 night, Adrian was there both days and hooked us up! 

I have another trip to LA next month and while all of my friends are staying at the West Hollywood Kimpton, I’m choosing to stay at the Everly because my experience was so phenomenal! 

Also, they have a fantastic, clean, open, friendly common area space. The restaurant downstairs has delicious food (and I’m an extremely selective and picky eater.)

This place is a total gem, perfectly located in LA, right next to the Burbank airport. I highly recommend! And they’re kid friendly too with a great outdoor pool, excellent views. 

I highly recommend all around and if you’re lucky, you may just meet Adrian!

Love staying at the Everly Hotel every time we are in town and it was a wonderful surprise to see changes to the bar scene. Our bartender Chris was attentive and mixed the best cocktails the two nights we were there. Highly recommend coming by the hotel for just a drink. The valet staff of Omar and Brendan were courteous and addressed all our parking needs. They made it so easy to retrieve our car. Very pleasant interactions. The front desk staff were exceptional and customer service top notch. Ana, our room attendant, kept our room cleanly and neat. The restaurant staff provided great customer service and the food at Jane Q for breakfast was perfect, especially the watermelon arugula salad. I can’t say enough about this hotel! If you want a place where you feel treated like royalty, this is your hotel!
