"Great family trip to Marco!"

Amazing family vacation! This was our first of many visits to Marco Island, specifically the JW! Staff was great. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. Anytime we called for extra towels or any request they were immediately handled. We enjoyed this resort because everything you need is at the resort or within walking distance. Publix is also a short drive away. Great dining options also within walking distance. There is plenty of activities for children. The resort is centered around families; making sure parents enjoy themselves as well as keeping children entertained. The only minor issue is some maintenance could be done in the hallways and rooms. The property is for the most part clean and well maintained, however rooms could use a little bit more TLC. A nightly turndown service would also be great. Definitely will be a regular vacation spot for us! Already booked for next year.

"Not A 5 Star "JW Experience""

I had a conversation with one of the concierges who said this is a 5 Star Property. My experience suggests otherwise. The hotel meets expectations in some areas but lacks the refinement that would give it 5 stars due to the following: Hotel Entrance - It is chaotic and crowded. Cars are everywhere. Hallway - I stayed in room 610. On the 6th floor at least, the hallways to rooms had visible paint wear in many places, especially on service panels and doors. - There were fans were running in the presumably drying out carpets. I understand that incidents happen but walking in a hallway with a loud fan is not an elegant experience. I noticed fans in the common areas as well (the ballroom area near the spa). - A box of trash sat in the hallway all day on Sunday. - Maid carts were present in the hallways throughout the day. Seeing them is not reflective of the discreet service expected at a 5-star property. The Room - The hot water in my room took a long time to arrive - several minutes at least. - There was a loud fan that came on and that I could not control. It made the room less than relaxing at best. Administrative - There were daily charges each day that I was told were authorization charges. We had several rooms and the totals were varied each day making me wonder about the charges themselves. On the positive side, I appreciated the late checkout on Monday.
