"Great Staff, but needs a major renovation"

We were staying at the Hyatt Regency Princeton for a youth wrestling event at the Cure Arena. It was a big tournament and I requested adjoining rooms in a quiet part of the hotel. I touched base with the front desk about a week before check in and they were quick to respond and let me know that everything was good to go. We checked in around 4pm and our rooms were ready. The only downside to my experience is that the hotel is dated. The elevators weren't cleaned that well and the carpets need replacing everywhere. Basically this place needs a facelift. I'm very meticulous about cleanliness in hotels, so I'm very critical when things are not spotless. It seems in my recent experiences if a hotel isn't new, it's just not cleaned well enough. Again the staff was great - we didn't eat at the hotel but it is super close to Princeton University and Palmer Square which is awesome. I would stay here again if I had to - there are not a lot of high end hotels to choose from and I've heard mixed reviews about most places in the area. I would probably go back to the Hyatt because now I know what to expect from the hotel.

"Fun Birthday / "Girls Weekend" in Princeton!"

We had a wonderful “girls weekend” celebrating a birthday here (we’re middle age!) We wanted to explore Princeton & this location was perfect. The staff was fantastic - front desk, ladies at the coffee stand, Mac the bartender. Room was clean, no bug encounters, no frills - suited our purposes. Wasn’t expecting the little fridge which was a plus! We needed a few extra housekeeping things & the nice young lady at the front desk made it happen while we were out. Housekeeping did a nice job. The atrium is great because it provides a place to hang out at the hotel in between or after planned activities instead of staying in the room. So glad we chose this, we had a drink & some food at the hotel bar before retiring to the room. Indoor pool was very warm with long hours. There may or may not be many screaming splashing kids but it has to be expected… closer to dinner time the little ones cleared out & more relax time for the adults (weekend + sports travel - again, expected!). A quick drive or uber ride or town, there are a couple of wineries in a 20-ish minute radius. Hopewell was fun. Highly recommend this hotel if you’ll be in the Princeton area.

"Just-right, the Goldilocks of Hyatt Regency's"

Very nice Hyatt, what you would expect in a Regency. Friendly, professional folks, clean, and fully-functioning rooms, well-stocked with anything one would need, and beautiful restaurant/bar areas. Ice machine on the 4th floor is out of order, I never told anyone, surely they would have run up some ice if I asked. Location is great, Princeton-ish, technically West Windsor Township, but convenient to Carnegie Center corporate offices, and out of hustle and bustle, just leave time for driving if needed, Rt 1 gets crowded.

Very nice Hyatt with a dramatic restaurant/bar setting with Koi fish water ponds. Ample parking and well off the busy highway.
