"Hit and run"

My vehicle was hit while parked in the hotel’s lot, which is a gated area that guests and visitors access. After reporting the incident, I was told there was only a partial plate obtained and that the security guard attempted to follow the individual. However, I was also informed that the cameras are not even facing the parking lot, which is extremely concerning for a gated property. What was most disappointing was the lack of cooperation and urgency from staff when I tried to get help. In a situation like this, guests should feel that their concerns are taken seriously and that there are proper safety measures in place. I understand things can happen, but for a property with controlled access, I expected better security and support.

"Can't wait for the remodel unveil"

The Hotel Maya has a stellar location, and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant. I was informed, that the 50yr/old Hotel, is undergoing some much needed remodeling, which was apparent. Our room had bubbling flooring, no screens for the patio slider, limited USB ports, and dim lighting. Can't wait to see what the remodel will bring

"Summer time is the best time! Room with a view."

Go during the summer when the entire hotel is open. The views are amazing, but make sure you are facing the city and on a higher floor. The rooms are being reburbished which is nice. The noise level is on the loud side. Our last stay was in the winter and the wind reallly wips through the buildings slamming doors. We stayed near the pool which had a lot of famiies (Loud children). We prefer being away from the pool. The gym is nice and sufficient. I like that you can refill your water bottles and they provide towels and ear buds if needed.

"Perfect for my cruise"

The location is near the cruise port. The ease of checking in and information for leaving my vehicle parked for the duration of the cruise was easy. Arranging for the shuttle to take me to the cruise port was easy and the shuttle driver was great!

"Charming hotel"

Beautiful property! The pics really don’t do the rooms justice. Older hotel but renovated and kept up really well with still keeping the charm of an older hotel. We stayed here before a cruise and 10/10 recommend. Friendly staff, clean, and beautiful.
