Hotel Indigo was truly a beautiful experience all around for my trip to LA!! From the convenience of its location to the five star quality of service, I valued every moment and was not at all disappointed with this decision to choose the property. Every public-facing room- lobby, bar and restaurant, private spaces for freshening up, elevators, roof top patio and pool were appealing, inviting, quiet, and secluded, all with a level of luxury in mind. Fine decor and the Great Gatsby-style vibe added to the awe of the hotel’s surroundings. Amenities were perfect for my getaway- I felt very safe, the room was a great spacious haven with comfortable bedding, fantastic seating areas, ample lighting, designer coffee maker, refrigerator, and very moisturizing products. Dining experiences were immaculate and delicious. Everything felt so luxurious without a very high price point. The staff truly took my rating over the top! Every member of the hotel’s customer care team that I interacted with, was nothing short of ideal. No one played a minor part in impressing me! (Front desk) Chelsea, Giuseppe, Alex, Viviana, Andy, Vince, (Valet) Catherine, (Bar) Brenda, (Restaurant) Camilla, Anthony and Gerson all helped make Hotel Indigo shine to me! 💫 Dear to my heart are Chelsea and Gerson who took very special steps to ensure that my experience was its most convenient, meaningful, and memorable! I want to warn fellow travelers about a deeply concerning experience with Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown. I stayed at this property from September 9–11, 2025. My stay was uneventful, and I checked out with no issues. Then, on March 29, 2026 — more than six months later — I discovered a charge of $380.67 on my credit card from this hotel. I received no prior notification of any kind. No email, no phone call, no mailed invoice. The charge was made silently and without my authorization. What followed was even worse. I called the hotel and was promised a callback from accounting — never received. I sent two separate emails — both completely ignored. It took four contact attempts over several days before anyone acknowledged the situation. The charge was eventually refunded, but I was then promised a phone call from the General Manager to explain how and why this happened. That call has never come. As of today, I still have no explanation for what the charge was for, how it was processed, or why my credit card was used without my consent half a year after my stay. The only reason I recovered my money is because I happened to notice the charge on my statement and relentlessly pursued a resolution. The hotel made no effort whatsoever to notify me or resolve this on their own. I have since filed formal complaints with IHG Corporate Guest Relations, the California Attorney General's Office, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and my credit card issuer. My advice to anyone considering this hotel: monitor your credit card statements closely — not just during your stay, but for months afterward. If this happened to me, it can happen to you. And unlike me, you might not catch it in time.
