This hotel blew me away! The price was super reasonable, the room was HUGE! Location is fantastic. Amazing staff! The r receptionist was so warm and welcoming, he gave us a room upgrade that we absolutely appreciated. The bell staff was helpful and helped us with our luggage. They also don’t charge any resort fee like other hotels in San Diego do. Will be coming back for sure.

"Amazing service"

We stayed at Hotel Indigo for a girls’ weekend, and we were thrilled with the service. From the moment we were greeted by the front desk, accommodated an early check-in, friendly and quick. Rooms are pretty standard but very clean and updated. We were able to request a mini fridge at no extra charge and Hector the houseman not only brought us the fridge, he noticed we didn’t have enough coffee and creamer and offered to bring us up more. He brought us several more k-cups, extra creamer, sugar and towels. The hotel is very convenient to walk anywhere in the gaslamp, east village and little Italy. We upgraded to the skyline view room that was well worth it. Very quiet considering busy downtown was right below. Checkout was quick and the bellman was helpful taking our bags and offering suggestions for brunch. The rooftop bar is very nice and trendy, plenty of heaters and the service was great. Drinks are pretty pricey but that is usually par for the course at a hotel. Overall amazing hotel experience. This would always be our hotel of choice in the area.

"2nd and last stay at Indigo gaslamp"

My GF and me were here in 2014 and we enjoyed our stay at Indigo then. Having a Spire Elite status, I booked it again during my second trip in San Diego. It was a mistake. Let's start from the beginning: they didn't upgrade me during check in as they say there were fully booked. Instead I had the room I booked, problem was that my room (1 King Petco Park View Studio Suite) was right above the terrace bar. Literally I could have talk with the people at the bar as the room was few feets above it. I complained but I had to stay for the fist night, no other option available. No need to say that I couldn't sleep until 1am. They said the bar is independently owned, nothing they can do. What is funny is that Indigo LES in NYC has the same issue, a terrace bar (more a club than a bar). If your room is close to it you can't sleep. Nothing they can do, is independently owned.... The second day they gave me a smaller but quieter room, basically a downgrade (!!) saying that they were refound the rate difference. The room was just ok for a 3* hotel, nothing more, but at least I could sleep. But again, it wasn't the room I booked. The room has no bathrobe, no slippers, no pillows choice. I asked them but the answer was "sorry about that". My rate included breakfast but during check in they said it wasn't included. We didn't pay attention as we were extremely tired after 12 hours flight. Therefore they charged us 2 breakfasts. During check out, after checking my reservation, I told it to the guy at front desk (not attentive at all, they just didn't care too much about us) the answer was " sorry about that" and they refound me what they charged for breakfast. What if I haven't checked it? This was the check out process. No thanks for staying with us, how was your staying and so on. My status at IHG is the highest possible, so imagine if I have had no status at all. I gave 3* only for the location, I won't go back and I do not recommend it, as you have a 3 star hotel service and room but you pay for a 4* I paid 568 USD for 2 nights

Yo. This place is a dope af place for the gaslamps. Close to like basically everything and the clubs. This place is lit but $49 for valet is steep. It’s cool. The people like Patrick Juan and Carlos at the front desk are like coolio peoples. They took care of this drunk friend so shout out to those peeps. Y’all deserve praise. Thanks for everything, I really like the room too. It’s litty af guys.
