Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark, an IHG Hotel

Hotel pool with waterside was fun. Very kid friendly and Karoke lots of fun. Viecka and Lange did a great job.

Let me start to say that we are experienced travelers and are IHG Diamond. We were a bit worried to bock due to inconsistent reviews. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 4 nights. The check-in was smooth even though we arrived at 1 am. The highlights - The staff! We encountered some of the best staff in any US IHG property. The helped us with everything. Especially the lady’s in the breakfast was amazing. But also the instructors at the Flowrider. - The facilities. The new water slides and the flowrider with all the pools is top notch. As soon as the new kiddie waterpark is finished they will have an amazing waterpark. Really well Maintained and big. arcades. -Foodcourt and restaurants on property was good and offered good value. - Size of the room. Was really good size and a lot of space. Room for improvement - Beds were a bit stutter and basic. Would be good if the started to upgrade block by block an offer the new rooms as a premium option. - Some of the seating in the food court could use an upgrade. Overall super happy and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I came from San Diego to visit a friend in Jacksonville and decided to spend one day at Magic Kindgom before we went back home because we’re pass holders at Disneyland and had never been to WDW. That meant we had no car. Since it was just for a day, I’m so glad we went with this place because our friend drove us down and dropped us off early morning before we could even check in and they let us do a pre-check in and held our bags for us while we enjoyed the park. So all we had to do when we got back late from a day at the park was grab the keys to our room and our bags which they had in a secure room. The next morning, they were still able to let us give them our bags to hold onto so we can still enjoy their resort for the whole day as long as we checked out on time. It was so perfect because we were able to lounge by the pool and grab a burger and a beer from Burger Theory for lunch before we needed to head out to the airport. These acccomodations were perfect for what we needed on such a short trip in Orlando. Miguel is who greeted us up front when we came back from the park and was quick to help us grab us our keys and bags and was so great about it all to let us know exactly how to get to our room and as tired as we were, we had time to grab a nightcap from the Hideway Bar. He made it so easy. On top of that Jovel was the one who helped us with our bags the morning prior and with grabbing our bags after we checked out to continue to enjoy the resort and was so sweet and accommodating for that. My only complaint, which has absolutely nothing to do with the staff, stay, or place, but I was led to believe there was a free shuttle to and from the park from this resort which didn’t turn out to be true. We arrived at 8:40 to then find out the last shuttle to the park left at 8:30am and was by reservation only. I asked about coming back and they had me scan a QR code that told me I’d have to make a reservation for $13/person and only one of those was from Magic Kingdom at 5:20pm. The later ones were from Epcot. Having never been to WDW, I didn’t know what that meant as far as getting to the location in time so we ended up using Uber so we weren’t stressed out. I just wish I would’ve known these details beforehand because it was one of the reasons I picked the place (website advertises free and I just assumed that meant throughout the day). Now that I know, I’d still come back here, but I even called in advance about using the shuttle and leaving the bags and they never gave me any of those details. I ended up having my friend wait until we checked in our bags so he could drop us off at WDW so we didn’t waste time trying to figure out our next move trying to get there before he headed back home to Jacksonville.

I came to Orlando for a conference, and my husband came with me. The conference hotel was booked, so we stayed here. We were so happy with our stay. There is lots to do for kids and adults! The staff is so friendly! Shanelle at the front desk is a rock star! She is so kind, professional, and makes you feel so welcome. She's available to answer all questions and help meet any needs. The families staying here seem to be having such a great time. The pools are awesome! Tip: if you don't feel like getting wet, but want to soak up the sunshine, be cautious when sitting next to the Flowrider! I got soaked, lol! They also have a pond with turtles and fish. They have a food feeder so bring quarters!
