The Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark in Lake Buena Vista completes a $30 million top-to-bottom rebuild in 2016 and is located in the heart of Orlando on 24 acres, 1 mile from the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

The resort is near Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure featuring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, CityWalk, SeaWorld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove and the I-Drive entertainment district featuring I-Drive 360, home of the Orlando Eye and Orange County Convention Center. Our location is easily accessible to shopping at both Orlando Premium Outlets and The Mall at Millenia.

Our newly remodeled Orlando family resort features 777 spacious suites with choice amenities, including free high-speed internet access, microwave, mini-fridge, 42" HDTVs, and Bath & Body Works bath amenities, water park with slides and flumes alongside cozy cabanas and a poolside bar. Fees
You'll be asked to pay the following charges at the hotel:
  • Fee for buffet breakfast: USD 14.95 per person (approximately)
  • Self-parking fee: USD 15.00 per day, plus tax. Additional vehicles are $17 per day per vehicle plus tax.
  • Deposit: USD 200.00 per stay
  • Resort fee: USD30 plusu tax per accommodation, per night


NOTE: Effective January 7, 2019 through February 7, 2019, the Lagoon Pool Waterslide Tower will be unavailable for guests use to make improvements for guests’ future enjoyment. During this time period, the Lagoon Pool Area, Kids Splash Zone, Cabanas, Deck Chairs and Loungers will be available for guest’s use along with the normal Lagoon Poolside entertainment and activities. In addition, the Oasis Pool area will have an array of fun activities including a 3 story inflatable waterslide for guests' enjoyment. All this, in addition to the normal fun-filled resort amenities and attractions will be available for guests use. The Lagoon Slide Tower will reopen on Friday, February 8, 2019.

-Make sure to get any suite that faces the lagoon or the pool/aqua park BUT NOT the parking and NOT AN ACCESSIBLE ROOM
- Go early to the breakfast , otherwise you will have a long waiting time for the main and express restaurants

"No rest for the weary"

The hanging lampshade fell on me when I was trying to find the switch to turn it on; turns out it's a different kind of switch camouflaged in with tv plug in stuff;
Also the walls are paper thin and although there are quiet hours listed, little kids don't tell time and don't always sleep when they should. The room next door had The tv on at least until 11pm and the little kid was up by 5:30 am and I could hear the tv words as well as the kids conversation through the walls.
The wet bar hot and cold handle is funky and I would guess needs tightening. The floor has some poor craftsmanship with gaps between the planks; and there was no mention of the weight limit or that the room had bunk beds so I'm sleeping on the couch.
The people I have come in contact here couldn't be more helpful or kind, though. Thankful for that!!

"A bit of a ram-shackle hotspot."

PROS: The king bed / room and bunkbeds for the kids were great. Comfy, just the right amount of space for what we needed. The amenities in the room were just right (fridge, microwave, coffee).

CONS: The room would have been great for 4 people who didn't need the super squeaky uncomfortable couch bed. It shouldn't really count as a bed.

The walls are thin and the other guests were engaged in various domestic disputes, and the people above us sounded like they were rolling bowling balls across the floor at 2:00 AM. We had to call the desk, twice.

The free shuttle to the theme parks had a bit of a restrictive schedule and isn't timed for pick-up to allow for the LONG time it takes to get back from Disney on multiple monorails. We missed it once and had to get an Uber.

The check engine light was on the whole time, it had ripped seats, and when it rained, pencil-thick streams of water were soaking passengers in the front rows of seats. Later, I noticed that the outside of the bus is duct taped where it had been busted at some point, so that it was broken wasn't news to them. The TV in the front (old box tv, matches the bus' tape deck) is missing a bolt and bounces around -- one day it will fall and crush someone. The sign up front says "Tips are an important part of our driver's salaries." Maybe.... pay them better?

One night we got home at 8:00 from the parks, it took us 50 minutes in line to order a sandwich at Subway in the marketplace. They only had one person making sandwiches, and nobody attending the cafe that was supposed to be open from 5-10 (but was never staffed.)

The pizza place got our pizza order wrong -- it was a case of putting meat on the pizza called a "veggie land". We were in a building furthest away from the market place, which is a 5 minute walk across the property -- kind of a bummer to have to walk back for a new pizza. Should have checked.

There were SO MANY PEOPLE in the pool that week, there is no way that the chlorine can keep up with the bio-load. I got in once and my legs started itching from the chemicals. So instead, I sat in the hot sun, and stood in line for 30 minutes to get a drink from the pool-side bar, because they only had one bartender.

Again, the pool was so busy there were no chairs available (and they have a lot of chairs) people were basically elbow to elbow. I had to stalk a table at the cafe.

They close the bar at 8, but the pool stays open until 10. So no luck if you wanted a relaxing drink at the pool after a long day at the parks.

There is NOTHING close by if you don't have your own car. No groceries, no restaurants. You're captive to their pizza / sandwich / restaurant / ice cream place.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando this past weekend Celebrating my son’s Birthday   Stating that The experience left a lot to be desired is an understatement. To begin we booked a Family King Suite that was supposed to include a full kitchen, 2 king bedrooms, and 1 room with bunkbeds, upon arrival they tried to put me into 2 king bedroom suites with kitchenettes, and 1 room was unavailable, in which they told me it should be ready in 15 minutes, I should just get checked into the First King and they would call me when it was ready. Irritated after a long drive and an even longer check in process, we went to visit the room. 3 hours later I still had not heard back about the 2nd room.   I will say that we stayed at the resort while it was still controlled by Nickelodeon and Holiday inn did a major facelift, as the rooms are in much better condition.  After waiting for 3 hours, our second suite was still not ready after taking yet another trip down to the front desk (which is logistical nightmare and much reminiscent of an airport line). The hotels remedy was to say oh well since you are here we will put you in the room you originally booked because 1 is available now and the other party who booked the room has yet to arrive?!?! Excuse me? You are acting as if you are doing me a favor by putting me in a room that I PAYED FOR IN FULL A MONTH IN ADVANCE, management’s attempt at “accommodation for the inconvenience” was 2 pizza vouchers. So off putting when I’ve stayed at 2 Holiday inns early this year where the service was impeccable. When we arrived at the Room that I booked after moving our luggage to the new room, we were much better off, but seeing how that whole process took 3.5 hours, is ridiculous, Check in is ay 4pm, we arrived at 4 pm, I payed for a room, put me in the room I paid for, it really is that simple. It’s not the Customer’s fault you overbooked rooms.   The room: The rooms are nice, freshly painted, new floors, our room had 5 televisions, nice amenities, and the standard Holiday inn adjournments. Unfortunately the renovations stopped before the bathrooms, because they were very old, needed to be cleaned and regrouted.   The facility: is nice, great for kids and teens. There is lots of entertainment; Food Court, Laser tag, and arcade were all very nice. No complaints there. The free Pizzas from Antonio’s were not very good, I would avoid if I were you.   Parking: is expensive and there is not enough spaces for the facility. It’s ridiculous that you pay $15.00 per day and there isn’t enough spaces allocated to the building that you are housed in. We were forced to park very far from our building which is inconvenient to say the least.   Comfort: The sleep quality is barely at a 2/10. While the bed is very comfortable, with nice pillows, the walls are paper thin and our neighbors must have allowed their children to kick the walls the entire night, because I literally heard thumping the entire 2 days. Sleep was nonexistent to be exasperated by not 1 but 3 Fire Alarms beginning at 2:30 AM requesting everyone vacate the entire facility. Once given the okay by the fire department to go back to our rooms, not less than 10 minutes, was another loud fire alarm and intercom requesting we vacate the premises again. (the entire process happened once more). Absolutely ridiculous and left an extremely bad taste in my mouth after a horrible check in and staff acting as if they were doing me a favor by giving me the room I booked. Avoid going to the left of the check in desk because aggressive Time-Share reps will try to rope you into a sales pitch simply decline and keep it moving.   Overall, I still think it’s a great place for Children. Adults, just don’t go expecting relaxation, it's loud, kids are running up and down the hall despite the posted "quiet hours from 10pm- 7am, at all times of the day and night, and you will absolutely hear everything in the neighboring rooms, including crying, yelling, and if you’re really lucky the kicking of the wall that your bed is on! I found Housekeeping staff, pool staff, and lifeguards to be very friendly and nice. The children enjoyed the experience. There is only 2 elevators on either side of each set of 2 buildings and are very slow and many times occupied by housekeeping. Over all Orlando is full of resorts and there are far better choices for the price.

So on pictures it looks good, the reviews aren’t that great, and now that does not surprise me after being there. Had to wait a bit at checkin, but that is normal. Booked a King Suite with bunk beds by Expedia confirmed and pre payed, Came there they said everything was full and we got for the first time in our life a downgrade to a Queen. Rooms are small. They are used a lot. Worn a lot Not clean. Dirty and greasy. I am glad that i looked first in the water reservoir of the coffee machine in the morning before i put up the machine. It was so dirty that we suddenly loose our appetite for coffee. See picture We have stayed in a lot of holiday inn hotels and this is the worst. Not worth the money. If you can not offer the prepayed room, you can not give some discount for the parking, and some points for the game room. Discount total 24USD. I think you should compensate the customer with a free night or at least 50% discount, or a free cancellation from the hotel so that the customer can book another hotel. Been there, done that. Spend a little more in Orlando and you will be in paradise.

As a Florida resident and a Disney pass holder, my wife and I visit Orlando with our granddaughter quite a bit and found this location to be quite nice. It has more than enough stuff for everyone to do, water slides pools, food court and games areas. The staff has been both very nice and extremely helpful. No issues either time.

This hotel has been a family favorite for several years now. When it was first remodeled after being Nick hotel, it was SO nice, but now it is really starting to look rundown. The kids still love the water area, but the rooms are smelly and moldy. We even changed rooms thinking it must be a fluke, but it appears every room is like this. Overall the staff is nice and there are many fun amenities for little ones, but the rooms need some fixing up. It just feels musty and dirty. The showers are moldy, the paint is peeling, the lights flicker, there are scuffs and scrapes everywhere, and everything metallic is rusty. The moldy smell makes it extra uncomfortable.
