The hotel shows false images. The room was nothing like the images. The lobby was a dive and the room was a dump. The service staff was just there with a non scaring attitude. Trip Advil should do a review, the same with Expedia, which I will send my review.

Close proximity to the beach - literally steps to the beach. Large, spacious lobby. One thing I have never seen before is a towel distributing machine in the lobby, which uses your room key to access beach towels. When my family arrived (early), due to disembarking from a cruise, our room wasn't ready yet, NBD. We were given a temporary key to access towels & to get back on property. Our room key didn't work & a kind, older gentleman helped us with towels. Construction was ongoing just outside, near the pool, but families/people were using the pool. We walked through the gate to the beach, but when we tried to get back on the property, the temporary room key again, did not work at the gate. My son was able to manually open the lock so we could get back in. There was valet parking, which was $49/night plus tax, which I thought was odd, to have parking taxed. (I work for a hotel in California & our valet parking isn't taxed.) Perhaps it's the city or county that imposes the tax. I was really pleased to see self-service laundry available advertised for this property, but really annoyed when I went to the front desk for quarters & was told there was none, even though I'd brought bills for change & had called the desk earlier to find out where the laundry room was located. The agent could've told me when I called that there was no change machine in the laundry room, nor would I be able to get change from the desk. Instead, I was advised I could walk 2 blocks to a CVS for change. We also asked for a 4:45 am wake up call as back up to leave for the airport, but the call never came.

Really nice stay. Every single staff member was amazing. Haydee at the front desk was so kind and helpful. Housekeeping, valets, beach staff and groundskeepers were very friendly. Beach staff were so awesome and seemed happy to be there even on a windy and rainy day. Restaurant staff had a big dinner they were preparing for a group and still went out of their way to make the ordering of dinner smooth. Fish tacos were delicious. Room was quiet and I got really good rest.

"Worst Experience Ever - Ruined Our Anniversary, Rude Staff & Hidden Scams"

This was the most distressing hotel experience of our lives, completely ruining our family anniversary trip. Despite a confirmed "Ocean View" booking through Agoda, the reception refused to honor it upon our arrival after a 7-hour drive. Exhausted and with a hungry baby, we were left stranded in the lobby for over 90 minutes with our bags. The staff was utterly clueless and unapologetic. One receptionist initially agreed it was their fault, but a manager named Armani overruled her in another language and bluntly told us, "this is not possible... do whatever." The unprofessionalism extended to our finances. They charged our card multiple times without clear explanation and held a transaction of $192.37 USD for over a week. Furthermore, beware of the valet parking scam. Independent valets operate outside, and refusing their service results in hostile treatment. The hotel itself has no parking. We were treated with sheer indifference at our most vulnerable. I urge every family to stay far away from this hotel. It is a scam that preys on tired travelers.

Great position on the ocean front for getting to the beach and plenty of restaurants around locally. However, on the website it doesn’t state about parking and that the valet charge is $49/night. Which soon adds up after a few nights. The hotel has seen better days and does need a refreshment to the rooms and social areas. Overall we had an average stay at the hotel but enjoyed the area on south beach. The valet/parking left a sour taste as we wouldn’t have stayed here if we knew this upfront and would have stayed at an alternative IHG.
