Bed and sheets are rough. Pillows are horrible. Hair on the light switch. Floor was not vacuumed. Do not stay! Headboard had nasty stuff on it. I don’t wanna know what it was. The drapes are torn that I thought it was spider webs when opening. Do not stay here. Avoid at all cost!

Reception was horrible I was not notified about the renovations and after driving 4 hours all the receptionist could say was you can cancel… i couldn’t believe she said that after we just informed her of how long it took us to arrive, her customer service was unprofessional, didn’t even offer to accommodate with free parking. This hotel didn’t even have pool accessible or gym. This was the worse vacation experience never again will we use this hotel.

Maybe I should just live here.” And honestly, with the way she takes care of guests, you wouldn’t be the first person to consider it. Then there’s Roman, the manager, who’s just as great. He runs the place with the kind of hospitality that makes you forget the temporary inconveniences. Need something? Roman’s got it handled. He’s like the hotel equivalent of a superhero—minus the cape, but with all the problem-solving skills. The Hotel Itself Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room—the renovations. Yes, they’re happening. No, you won’t get to sip a cocktail at the bar or grab a hot meal on-site (yet!). But the good news? This place is getting a serious glow-up. Holiday Inn and Suites Santa Maria, CA, is like finding a TARDIS on your road trip—it’s bigger on the inside! Seriously, these rooms are huge! You could host a yoga class, practice your cartwheels, or just marvel at all the space while laying on the massive comfy bed. As for the service, it’s truly out of this world—like they hired a team of superheroes undercover as hotel staff. They’re fast, friendly, and always there with a smile, ready to save your day (or just bring you extra towels, which is basically the same thing). If you want space and stellar service, this is the place to be!

I was here for a week and booked a 2 bdroom suite with a kitchen. The kitchen is not stocked, and I had to ask for kitchen "tub" that supposedly had all we would need. However, there were no real mugs; coffee tastes better and it is environmentally much better than using a paper cup multiple times per day. Also, there was no dish rag, so we used a washcloth. The restaurant is below average. They only have one waitress in the morning. From the time we sat until we received our food (a simple breakfast wrap and a bowl of granola), it took one hour. There are no vegan options. They only have whole milk. There is no oatmeal. I was sorely disappointed. The best thing about this hotel was the location. Right off the 101.
