Stayed here 2 nights on trip south. Beautifull area with lots to see and do. Reserved hotel through Reserve Gatlinburg and everything went very smooth. Hotel nice, clean and convenient. Staff friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Asheville Biltmore West for 3 nights this past weekend for our wedding anniversary. We have no real complaints per se but probably wouldn’t choose this hotel on our next trip. The layout is very odd with the indoor pool right in the hotel lobby and open to the restaurant area as well. Unfortunately many of the rooms overlook said indoor courtyard space, ours being one of them. This led to an unfortunate fishbowl feeling and very little natural light in the room at any time of day (none when you factor having to close the curtains to create any sense of privacy between you and your fellow travelers in the lobby / pool). The room was very clean, but the mattresses were extremely soft — so much so that we ended up sleeping in separate beds to have any hope of not disturbing one another in the night (not really ideal for what was supposed to be a romantic weekend getaway). The staff were kind and helpful for what limited interaction we had. All in all it was just “fine” as a place to lay our heads at the end of the day (and if you’re a soft bed person, you’re in luck), but on our next visit to the area we will be looking elsewhere for a place that better suits us.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn - Biltmore with our two cats and infant after evacuating from Hurricane Dorian. The main reason we chose the hotel was due to its pet friendliness. The hotel appears to be in a good location, and has some good inside amenities including a great pool, conference area, bar, breakfast restaurant, and shuttle to downtown. We didn’t take advantage of these but it’s good to know they are options. The hotel seems super pet friendly as there was pretty much a dog per room but we couldn’t hear any of them which was great. There is a $25 fee per animal per day. My main gripe with this hotel had to deal with the room and A/C. It got super humid in our room (probably contributed to by an indoor pool) and the A/C did little to remove any humidity. We’re talking you out your head down on a pillow and it feels wet and damp which is just gross. All our clothes after a while also began to feel damp. Additional minor gripes were that one mattress in our room was super squashed on one side such that one side was very high and the other very low which inevitably made it feel like you always were going to roll to one side. Our toilet also started to get backed up a little with almost no drainage. Overall the hotel stay was okay but seeing that we were in a jam, we tried to make the best of it. I’m willing to bet other guests had better experiences but overall I’d say it was a pretty average hotel.

I'm so fuming right now I probably shouldn't be typing. But here I am. I booked this hotel through hotels.com for a date night with my wife. We have three children under 7, and rarely get time alone with just the two of us. Our son is autistic, which makes it extremely difficult for us to find suitable babysitters, and our families live some distance from us, so it's my wife and I on an island most of the time, and I'm saying this not to gripe, I love my wife and family and wouldn't change it for the world. The DAY before our planned date, I get a call from the hotel staff saying they will not honor our reservation because we live within a 50 mile radius of the hotel. We travel a lot as a family, and I can guarantee you this, we will never give Holiday Inn a dime of our business going forward. Thanks for taking something we were looking forward to, a time to reconnect a little and ruining it with your stupid policy. I hope more families see this and steer clear from your entire franchise.

Unremarkable. One spot along the way of 16 stops on a driving tour. AC was noisy, but did keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Staff at check in and out were pleasant. Luggage carts were serviceable, but were well worn.

This isnt a bad hotel but it isn't quite a four star hotel. Pros: We felt safe at hotel and we came in late on a Saturday night and still found parking. We called Holiday Inn directly and got a Veterans rate for $130 including tax. Cons: Check in was really slow. They had a new guy that only had been there for two days who was trying to answer the phones and wait on people at the same time. We found m&m's under the bed and a slight stain in a chair in room 303. They do not offer a free breakfast like other hotels that they are competing against. We are on the fence with this hotel and I believe that we can find something just as nice that offers free breakfast the next time we need a room in Asheville.
