"Disappointing"

Very disappointing stay and would not recommend this property. I was given incorrect information on three separate occasions about my accommodation, which directly influenced my decision to book. The room was substandard and did not resemble the photographs used to advertise. I would caution anyone about paying extra to 'upgrade' to the Makai building. I would specifically avoid the Lanai rooms in the Makai building, as these rooms are permanently shaded, the floor and room smell damp, and the overall condition of the room and its furnishings are in serious need of refurbishment. Hallways and common areas were also dirty and visibly in need of maintenance and fresh paint. Value for money is poor. Overall, this property lacks transparency and fails to meet basic standards advertised on the website. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this property to anyone (there are way better in the area) and am seriously reconsidering staying at any Hilton property in the future.

"Shabby and understaffed"

We (family of four with kids ages 10 and 13) are staying at this resort currently. We decided to return after a great experience at this resort in 2023. What a difference two years makes. This property is very run down compared to two years ago. This time, we were met with stagnant ponds of water, moldy HVAC vents, a leaky shower and stale smelling bath and bed linens. We asked for daily housekeeping at check in, but rooms were not cleaned until after 3 pm and sometimes only after we asked for it. We saw staff sleeping on the job or sitting and scrolling on phones while out for early morning workouts. The lagoon is still very nice but you don’t have to stay here to use that. Overall very disappointing and we would definitely not return or recommend it to anyone else.

"Huge beautiful complex with hotel, restaurants, shopping and more"

Impressive hotel lobby. Walk through and you will come to a massive staircase going up and then down (if you have mobility issues or if your legs are very sore, there is an elevator, but it is a far walk to the end of the convention center, which makes no sense ). To the left under the waterfall is the pool area, the Dolphin Quest experience past the waterfall and the outdoor bar/restaurant. Beware the hot dog is huge and it comes with a side so you may wanna share. Bird haters beware. The sparrows are pretty bold. Shuttle prices are rather high. Five dollars one way to the marketplace on site and seven dollars to the Lala Bar. For multiple people that could add up quickly. May as well rent a car from the airport. The tram from the lobby does not go to the marketplace area. Short walk from the lobby to the Shoreline access Road. We saw 2 sea turtles on shore!

Stellar experience! Room is clean and roomy and super cute. The grounds are timeless, like living in an outdoor, tropical museum. Two giant pools with water slides and the lagoon is perfect. Everyone is super helpful and kind. The hotel is completely booked but doesn’t feel too crowded at all. Saw some Reddit threads and reviews mentioning construction, we don’t we any. we had our wedding, this place is roughly 30 years old; they are keeping up on it.

"The perfect vacation"

By far, one of the best vacation locations in the world. Makei Tower, overlooking to dolphin lagoon with stunning ocean and Mountain View’s, made it hard to leave our room! The property is expansive so it never feels crowded. The pools, slides, snorkeling in the lagoon and other amenities were top notch. New Year’s Eve dinner at KPC was exceptional and the fireworks afterward - wow!
