"Bad service, incompetent staff"

We arrived at 8 pm after a long travel day, ready to go to bed, but when i got there i was told my room was cancelled, despite it being on the same booking as my friend's room, which was still there. The staff were unhelpful and insisted that this was Costco's fault, i had to call them to sort it out myself and asked me what i wanted to do. I could go somewhere else, or they can charge me for a night and then ask Costco for a refund later. This lack of service was incredibly disappointing. If i wanted to be told "figure it out yourself" i would've gone to a Motel6. I come to the Hilton so that the staff can help solve problems for me. The staff should've said, let's get you into a room, we'll put a temporary hold on your card, and i'll call costco first thing tomorrow to get this sorted for you." I couldn't sleep and the next day I immediately called costco only to be told the Hilton had sent them confirmation of my room, and they dont know what's going on, but Costco will call Hilton and sort it out. When i walk by the front desk after breakfast the check in on progress, the front desk mentioned that the reservation was there, so they're not sure why i was told it was cancelled the night before, but that they were still working it out with Costco. All in all the level of incompetence and bad service leads me to say i have no faith in Hilton and will never stay at a Hilton again. On top of this rocky start, at the end of our trip, just before we were packing up to leave, we got an angry knock on the door. I opened it and a woman was yelling at me in spanish. Finally i caught the jist of it and she was telling me i was supposed to be checked out. I told her we have 2 pm late check out and she answers aggressively "AND WHAT TIME IS IT NOW?!" I answer 11:10 am, which is not 2 pm. Then the other staff said i wasnt on the list and they walked off without even apologizing. This whole stay was ridiculous and no offer of anything to help make up for stressful experience. Definitely don't stay here, you will be disappointed.

We travel to Sedona every Christmas as a family tradition, and this year we chose to stay here. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Quality hotels in Sedona are already difficult to find, and this property did not meet expectations. During our stay, multiple areas of the hotel were under renovation. I had booked a spa service in advance, only to arrive and learn that the spa was completely closed. My massage was ultimately done in a random room, and I was given a 20% discount. At no point was the spa closure disclosed on the website or during booking, which was especially frustrating. The rooms are extremely dated. While there appear to have been attempts to update them with fresh paint and granite, the age and wear are still very evident. Once again, this experience reinforced how far Hilton properties seem to be falling short when it comes to customer service. We were also told that the self-service area for snacks, water, and basic necessities would be available 24/7. In reality, it was closed. When I asked the front desk for clarification, the staff seemed unaware and unable to provide a clear or consistent explanation (see text exchange). Overall, this was an unfortunate and disappointing stay, especially for a trip that holds sentimental value for our family. We cannot say with confidence that we would return.

Thank you to all the staff. They were attentive and great service. It was my birthday and they all hand signed a card and left treats in my room upon my arrival. Room are amazing, cozy, with a nice fireplace. The star gazing was fun and informative. Never seen the moon so close up. Very clean and quiet.

I just spent a few days at the Hilton Bell Rock in Sedona and honestly didn’t want to leave. Even though the property is going through renovations right now, the experience was still fantastic. The staff make this place what it is — everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful. From check-in to servers, housekeeping, concierge… every single person seemed happy to be there, and it shows. I stayed in a beautiful suite with a balcony and a great view. The fireplace was such a cozy touch, the bed was super comfortable, and I loved having a fridge and microwave. The holiday decorations are adorable, and the s’mores kits were such a cute extra. The food at the restaurant was great, and the outdoor fire pit is the perfect spot to unwind at night. One thing I cannot recommend enough is the free Saturday morning talk (10:00–11:30). The gentleman who leads it is incredible — insightful, grounded, and honestly exactly what my head and heart needed on this trip. Sedona is magical on its own, but that talk added so much to my weekend. The resort is pet-friendly (my dog was treated like royalty!), and the concierge gave really honest advice about which hikes are actually worth it and which ones are just Instagram hype. Parking can get a little hectic, so it helps to find out which side your room is on before you unload everything. Stargazing at night is amazing from this property too. As I’m writing this, I’m sitting by the outdoor fire pit with music playing and the red rocks glowing — it’s just a special place. I can’t wait to come back and see the finished renovations. Great spot for families, couples, solo travelers… anyone who wants an easy, welcoming base in Sedona. Highly recommend.

This is a perfectly fine, clean Hilton. Nice big rooms, some with wonderful views of nearby Bell Rock. It is a ten-minute drive into town but we found that to be advantageous, as it was quieter and less bustl-y than downtown Sedona. And even so there are plenty of restaurants and cafes right in the neighbourhood. This hotel has three lovely pools.
