"Do not book for a honeymoon! Seek other options! Deceiving hotel!"

Honeymoon was a let down here! The pictures are so deceiving! They make it seem so resort like and full of amazing amenities but it falls short. The pool is basic and needing updates, the pool side food and drink is overpriced for what you receive, and the rooms in the pictures are not what you get unless you pay to upgrade! The breakfast is included on their website when you book but you find out there, it’s not included and overpriced! You also are charged $20 per day to park there and also pay $36 per day to use the spa amenities like the lap pool, sauna, steam room. We didn’t receive housekeeping because they didn’t tell us at check in you have to “opt in” for housekeeping services. I was so disappointed we chose this for where to stay on our honeymoon.

"Very run down and overpriced restaurant."

I really wish I could give this place a higher rating because the staff is nice. The resort is run down though. The pool looks nothing like the pictures. The lounge chairs are old, broken with stained cushions. Really gross! The spa is really run down. I would not use the steam, sauna or shower. Very old. The lap pool and the main pool are missing tiles all around. Don't be fooled like we were. The restaurant is very over priced and only mediocre. My husband had the $60 strip steak and it was full of fat. They are constantly making substitutions and not informing you. How do you run out of spinach ?

"For Runners and People Who Care about Value..."
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5
Reviewed June 09, 2025 NEW
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, but I am a runner. I always try to find out what safe running routes are around. I like to run on the roads; Sedona is hilly and not everywhere on the way into town has a sidewalk (there are bike lanes, though). The people at the Hilton Honors desk didn't seem to know much about running routes, so I just mapped out a run myself on the local highway. No one mentioned the coyotes. On my first run, I ran into four coyotes (a solo observer, and then a group of three). This is not something I am used to, and it freaked me out, so I kept running. Not much else to do. When I returned to the hotel, I decided to ask the staff if it was normal to be so close to the coyotes and if there was anything I should do or any tips I should know. (Things like, "wave your arms," or "shout" or "they preferred to be ignored," or whatever.) Instead, when I asked what I should do if I saw the coyotes again (which I did, on four separate days) the man at the Honors desk shrugged and said, "Around here, we just carry." Uhhhhh. Okay. Not helpful. Weirdly, I also learned that this isn't even true. People don't go around just shooting coyotes in Sedona. So, I don't know what that whole thing was about. My Pink Jeep tour guide was pretty irritated when I told her the story of what the man said, and the more I thought about it, the more annoyed I became, too. It was really a totally inappropriate response to a hotel guest. That was the only issue I had with a person at the Hilton. I never saw that guy again. The other issues were cost-related in a felt like was a hefty pricetag for a hotel that is really only okay. The pool is run-down, the bathrooms by the pool are sad, the "games" they say they have for families are missing parts or incomplete sets. The drinks and food are really overpriced (and I am not cheap, but we had a really mediocre lunch at the pool on the Monday we arrived and it cost $180). We never ate there again because Sedona has much better food for the same pricetag or less. And then, the surprise to me was the parking, which felt a bit like a "gotcha." I paid $100 ($20/night) to park at a hotel that is literally situated in a giant parking lot off a main highway, not even remotely walkable to the town (shopping/eating) areas in Sedona. That annoyed me. Why charge for parking when there is truly so much parking available that every room has a view of the parking lots? If the hotel were in a town where parking is at a premium, I'd get it. I assure you, this is not the case. The Hilton Sedona is actually a parking lot in and of itself.

"Great property and friendly staff"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5

We visited from Chicago for a 2-night stay with our two small kids, and we absolutely loved our time at the Hilton Sedona Resort. From the moment we arrived, Maddy went above and beyond—she was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions about the area and giving great tips on what to do (especially since it was raining when we checked in). When we had a small issue with our room, she quickly resolved it and moved us without hesitation. Michelle and Michael were also kind and helpful throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Siren at the bar—she was so patient and welcoming, even with little ones in tow! The property itself is adorable and feels freshly renovated. The location is ideal, and we loved the bonus of being able to take a golf cart to nearby restaurants. There are plenty of cozy fire pits for chilly desert evenings, and you can even grab s’mores kits to enjoy. The pool setup is perfect for families, with a kid-friendly pool and a separate adult pool. The entire property was clean, well-maintained, and every staff member we interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful. We’ll definitely be staying here again next time we’re in Sedona!

"The Hilton should do better than this."

We visited the spa area to attend classes that they provide. We attended Pilates and a stretch class and the fitness center / spa does not have any seating indoors or outside to sit and visit between classes or post workout. Such a disappointment. There was an outdoor patio area that looked like a haphazard storage space. Definitely not what we expected. A comfortable place to sit and visit would have been quite welcome.
