"Very Disappointed experience"

Very disappointed in this hotel, especially for being so historical and in a great location. The highlight was the lobby bar/restaurant and James the bartender. He was fantastic, assertive, and friendly. The frost desk staff was short and unwelcoming. The elevators need updating badly and the bathroom was very dated and dirty. The housekeeper staff did not even place the shower curtain on all the way. Someone places serval take out boxes outside our door and the housekeeper staff left it even though they had passed it serval times. There are better options in area, I recommend choosing one of those.

"Extremely Disappointed – False Advertising & Poor Service"

We booked Hilton Penn’s Landing specifically for the indoor heated pool, which was a deciding factor for our stay. When we arrived, the pool was freezing cold, and the front desk refused to heat it, despite it being advertised as heated. It was obvious the staff were instructed to make excuses — likely to avoid the cost of running it — even though this issue has been raised in multiple reviews for weeks. What’s worse is that the hotel continues to respond on Google pretending to care, but does nothing to resolve the issue. That’s not just poor service — it’s false advertising, and I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Our room was also disappointing: leaky bathroom fixtures, outdated decor, and a worn appearance that doesn’t match the photos. To top it off, the staff were consistently rude. When I pulled up to drop off luggage, the valet told me I needed to “hurry up” and couldn’t leave my car there — even though I was checking in. We expected better from a Hilton-branded property. Unfortunately, this felt more like a bait-and-switch than a relaxing stay. Avoid this hotel if you expect honest communication or basic hospitality. NO WHERE CLOSE TO A 4 star hotel.

"Nice place for a get away weekend"

The room was very clean. The location is nice as it is convenient to the Olde Town section of the city and the walking areas at Penn’s Landing. The breakfast was a buffet similar to most chain hotels but the cost was $20 a person which I think was a lot for the selection and most things were just warm not hot. We had a nice time and the parking was easy to use and right behind the hotel.

The hotel itself is in a great location and offers in and out garage parking for an additional fee. But, the location is walkable to the historical part of the city so we never needed to take our car out. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. We loved the view, gym and pool. The bathroom sink in the room was a little slow to drain but that is an easy fix. I would 100% stay here again.

Located on the shores of the Delaware River, it is a very nice hotel that is within walking distance of historic Philadelphia. Independence Hall, visitor center and the Liberty Bell are about a 15 minute walk. There are also lots of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel features an indoor pool that is clean and well kept. The rooms are a very nice size. There is a fridge and coffee pot but no microwave. There is an onsite restaurant that we visited for the breakfast buffet but also serves food later in the day. There is also a bar off the lobby, but doesn't interfere with the comings and goings of the patrons. For breakfast, we stopped into Eli's, a little bistro area that had coffees, teas and pastries, along with a few hot food items. If purchasing a City sightseeing bus pass, there is a stop right across the street.
