"Hotel is run down and dirty."

Our room was generally run down. Quite a bit of filth and mold in the corners of the bathroom. They made up the room after 2 nights but never finished cleaning the bathroom. We were left with no towels. When I called for towels it took 45 minutes and 2 calls to get them. No apology from them.

"Nice location and friendly staff"

Great location on the riverfront, nice patio with pretty flowers, the room was nice, but the sink drained slowly & both faucets put out warm water, no cold. Nice bar, had a tasty dinner one night at the hotel restaurant. The staff was friendly, Rose is worth a special compliment for her friendliness and accommodation.

"What happened to this once great property?"

We have stayed at this property many times over the past 13 years and have enjoyed the hotel, the location and the experience. However, this stay will be our last. There’s dried tissue on the bedcover that went through cleaning and was put back on the bed by someone who didn’t care, the bed was made ‘sloppy’ at best, the digital room key system doesn’t work, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed, the tub is missing paint and is rusting, the bathroom blinds are broken, the desk chair is ‘lumpy’ and well past its expiration date, the furniture is ancient/scratched, the sheers look like someone slept on them, the door lock has 1” play between the jamb and the latch, the self-parking is north of $60/night. The manager and therefore also the staff have given up. This is not one of Hiltons better properties and may actually be one of their worst. Hey Hilton - DO BETTER!

"Comfortable lodgings at a high price!"

The hotel is fine, well kept and clean. The staff is excellent; all personnel were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services were virtually non-existent; we had to call every evening for fresh coffee supplies for in-room coffee the following morning. The only roll of toilet paper was down to "will be out very soon" but was not replaced until we requested it. On the other hand, the valet service was top notch! we received our car within minutes of calling for it to go out, and the staff were eager to help me with the carriage that holds hubby's wheelchair on the back of the car. This was most appreciated as it takes a few minutes to get the chair firmly in position. The location of the hotel is excellent; we had a river view room with an extremely pleasant view of the Delaware River (Penns Landing). There is a very delicious restaurant on a vintage ship within easy walking distance (quite expensive but is nice for a one-time treat) but unfortunately not many other dining choices within walking distance of the hotel. The onsite restaurant has a very limited menu and only offers buffet service for breakfast on weekends. "Old City" takes only a 15 minute walk to reach the historic district.

"Go For The View"

I stayed at this hotel to celebrate the Navy's 250th birthday, and the Hilton did not disappoint. I requested a room with a view of the river, and I got a corner room with fantastic views. I could see the U.S.S. New Jersey, as well as the Olympia & the submarine. I enjoyed watching the river traffic. My room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. As other reviewers have noted, the furniture is dated, and this is true. The carpet and a chair in my room were stained as well, but overall I felt my room was clean. I ate several meals at the Rope & Anchor restaurant, and found the food to be mediocre and the service extremely slow. Hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. In short, I would recommend this hotel, especially for those who want to visit the Seaport Museum.
