Stayed with family the weekend of the Beyoncé concert (which ironically we were not in town for we were just taking a night away from home) but there were no real complaints about this hotel. the room was clean and comfortable, and very spacious, and had a great view of American dream, MetLife and meadowlands-we could even see some sort of horse race from our room and the smoke coming out of MetLife from the pyrotechnics of the concert which was pretty cool. breakfast the next day was also good, no issues with the food. The area seemed very small though for a hotel that likely gets booked up often due to concerts and games at MetLife. We were able to get seats but if more people hadn’t slept in after the concert it might have been a little more unpleasant. Really the only complaint is that the surrounding area outside of the mall and stuff seems to be just in the middle of nowhere. but it is what it is. If o was coming to the area again it wouldn’t keep me from staying in the hotel again.

Booked a king room advertised as sleeping 4 for 3 people (husband, me, teen kid). Checked in through the app, including selecting a room, which asked me about our arrival time - I said after 10pm as that was going to be the case. Also chatted with front desk via the app and again mentioned we’d arrive after the Beyonce concert. Arrived exhausted a little before midnight. We were surprised to find no where for our kid to sleep, so I called the front desk to ask for a rollaway to be brought up. They told me they don’t have rollaways. I asked them to find another solution for us and was put on hold for 15-20 minutes. Just as my husband was about to go down to the desk, they got back to me and said tough luck, they’re sold out and we should’ve asked for a different room when we arrived at 2pm. First of all, we didn’t arrive until nearly midnight, and, second, they did not provide a room that matched what we booked. I asked for sheets, blanket, and pillow for the chair, and they then said they don’t have pillows. Yes, no pillows to be had at a hotel. I’m still shocked at that one. We then waited another 20 minutes for them to bring sheets and a blanket (really, no pillow). My kid was so uncomfortable. No apology. No offer to comp. No response to requests for comp after the fact. I DO NOT recommend this property. This sort of treatment is appalling.

Booking this hotel was the worst experience of my life. I strongly urge anyone considering staying here to read this account before risking your vacation with this unprofessional and unresponsive establishment. Two weeks prior to our trip, we booked two rooms for our family. However, on the first day of our trip, while driving to the hotel, we received an email from a Gmail account with the subject line “Declined CC,” claiming that our credit card on file was declined and requesting we email our credit card details. Suspecting a scam, we double-checked our card and confirmed it was in good standing. Shortly after, we received a call from a random phone number with the same message. Upon researching, we found that this number was not listed on Hampton’s website or in any official communications, which further raised our suspicions. To address the matter, we repeatedly tried calling the official number for Hampton Inn (201-935-9000), as listed on the website and in all prior emails. Unfortunately, the line was always busy. Since we were having dinner at the time, we decided to resolve the issue upon our arrival. Two hours later, however, we received an email from Hampton’s official email address informing us that our reservation had been canceled. When we arrived at the hotel, we were met with an unapologetic front desk staff member, Victory, who confirmed that our rooms had been canceled and that the hotel was fully booked. Despite being aware we were on our way, she offered no explanation for why the earlier communications came from unofficial sources or why our reservation was canceled without proper verification. Moreover, she refused to allow us to speak with a manager. This experience left my family stranded late at night. My children were in tears, scared that we wouldn’t find a place to stay, while my spouse and I scrambled to locate alternate accommodations. Given the holiday season, nearby hotels were sold out. After significant effort, we managed to find a hotel 15 miles away with available rooms. The lack of professionalism, unclear communication, and complete disregard for guest welfare displayed by Hampton Inn are unacceptable. This ordeal not only disrupted our trip but caused unnecessary stress for my entire family. I strongly urge the management to address these failures and ensure no other guests endure such a terrible experience.

A very good hotel to stay at if you want to be close to MetLife stadium. Friendly staff with good knowledge and a very good breakfast . Shuttle to MetLife on game days. Also a very short drive to shopping . Bus to NYC just outside the hotel takes you to the city in 10mins. Easy and free parking The only thing we didn’t like was that our room door wasn’t closed after housekeeping had been there ,we were out for 12hours so the door had been open a long time . We also noticed other doors wasn’t closed properly. This didn’t feel safe . Everything else was perfect.
