"Very comfortable room with nice view."

Durango was our last leg of our Colorado road trip and it exceeded my expectations. I loved the town. The Durango Hampton inn met my expectation - room was large and bed was comfy. AC was quiet which made for a good night sleep. Too bad the window could not be opened. I used the washer dryers which was convenient. 10 minute drive to downtown Durango. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

"Customer not #1"

During our day stay our party of 5 was not treated as a valued customer. We had 3 rooms reserved but since we had not requested for the rooms to be located together they placed us on separate floors. One room had bugs and we were given a vacuum cleaner to suck up the bugs. Our complaints fell on deaf ears. It wasn't until our travel agent called to complain that we got another room the following day.

The staff was friendly and we felt secure in the hotel and in our room. The hotel checked a number of other boxes too: good AC unit, comfortable beds, good bathroom & water pressure. However on the down side, there was a rust/brown-colored stain on one of our bedspread (the top cover). But again, overall the room was good.

"Located at the north end of Durango"

This Hampton Inn is located at the north end of town, where Main Ave. becomes Hwy. 550. It features a free hot breakfast, a beautiful pool and hot tub, and outside smoking shelter, a guest laundry, and an airport shuttle to the Durango county Airport. The front desk attendant was friendly and able to help when I had a question. There is some construction activity going on by the elevator on the first floor, but it was not a bother, and the elevator worked just fine. Wheelchair parking with the permit is available right next to the front door.

Myself and my wife checked in on the Sunday of the week of Thanksgiving. The say was good but Dennis was a gem. He went above and beyond for me twice and can't thank him enough. He and the breakfast staff. I'll stay here again when I pass through..
