We arrived in the late afternoon and we had a car dolly in tow. Elena was very helpful with our parking as the truck could not be valeted in the garage. She also made an excellent recommendation for a place where we could enjoy dinner. We were grateful for her kind assistance.

I selected the Fairfield Marriott for my stay based on other reviews and location. On some levels, it's a typical hotel for its class -- standard room, standard breakfast -- but the staff here is exception. The front desk navigated anything I brought to their attention ... even a burned out lightbulb was changed within 10 minutes of notifying them. After the first night, I asked for a room change because I was facing MLK Blvd, and the front desk changed that to a much quieter room. The location is excellent, a five to ten minute walk to restaurants and major attractions including the Telfair Museum, the Savannah History and SCAD Museums, and a ten minute walk down to the riverfront. Overall, it was an excellent choice for a getaway to a wonderful city with just so much character.
