"Scary Experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

Me and my mom booked this hotel as part of our Southwest Vacations package due to its convenient location. Upon arriving we were put in a very secluded room only steps away from the exit stairs. We always travel with a video camera finder, an extra lock, and a door alarm. Around 1am the door was opened triggering the alarm and a man could be heard walking away frantically saying “sorry sorry” after my mom screamed out. We called the front desk and the employee treated us as if this was no big deal. He also told us that he was unable to pull the camera footage and the only person that could was his manager and she wouldn’t be in until 6am. He also stated that the only way footage could be pulled before his manager arrived was if the police asked for it. We then asked could he call the police and he replied “you can”. We called the police and they came and we were moved to another room with police escort. After staying up all night because we felt unsafe and having no contact with any staff members, we had to go downstairs to seek the manager because she never reached out to us. We spoke with the General Manager, Jen Stephens, and she was still treating it as if this was not a serious matter and as if we didn’t know what we were talking about. She stated that she was still looking at footage and even once she reviewed it she couldn’t show it to us she could only show it to the police if they requested it. She later called us back on our room phone to say all she saw on the footage was a man walking up to our door and walking away fast and that it didn’t appear to be malicious. We were not given any other details or explanations at all especially about why or how he was able to open our door. We called Southwest Vacations to request to be moved to a new hotel in lieu of our scary and dangerous experience. We were advised through customer service that we would be moved for safety reasons and they would also request a refund from this hotel. After informing Jen that we requested a new hotel and were moving to a different hotel because we did not feel safe after the entire ordeal and how it was being handled, Jen agreed that she would be issuing a refund for our stay. If we had not taken extra precautions there is no telling what would have happened. Even up to this very moment she, neither the hotel, or the Denver Police Department has reached out to provide further information or to further the investigation.

"Downtown location"

The check in/ check out people were friendly. This hotel is in a great location. The rooms are a decent size . There is a microwave, refrigerator, ironing board, and blow dryer in the room. I only gave them three stars because one of the elevators didn't work, and it was slow. The toaster in the breakfast room only had one side that could be used, the furniture could be replaced. The parking is $30.00 a night seems expensive, but street parking is free. The positive is the swimming pool, though it is only 3 feet deep at the deepest.

"Great option for staying in Denver"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5

Great option for exploring or business travel to Denver. This hotel is a 15 minute walk to LoDo and probably 20 minutes to the Convention Center and DPAC. It's located in LoHi, which has tons of great restaurants, breweries and shops. Also walking distance to Mile High Stadium (or whatever it's called this week) and Elitch Gardens, the Aquarium and Children's Museum. The hotel itself is relatively new. It's clean, quiet, and the rooms are large and comfortable. A few things to be prepared for, and probably don't matter to most, but don't plan on fueling up for a long day of meetings or exploring with a big hotel breakfast. The breakfast is not good. Also, the fitness center is extremely small as is the indoor pool.

"Worst Service I have ever experienced"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed June 13, 2024
This hotel has the worst service and processes of any hotel I have stayed in. FYI - anyone can give a room number and have their parking charged to your room. This happened to me. I checked in and asked for 1 parking pass. My card was then charged for 3 parking passes and when I called the front desk they stated they would refund the parking. 2 weeks later, the refund had not happened and I called back. The manager then told me the front desk could not authorize a refund they misspoke to me. She then also refused to refund the parking and kept stating there were 3 vehicles in the garage with my room number on there. I will definitely not be coming here again. I regret even opting to park in the garage. They advise you there is limited street parking but I saw plenty each time I went out. Just save yourself the headache and opt out of parking.

"Hygiene and Cleanliness Issues, Location is very good, Rooms are big"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5
Reviewed May 11, 2024
This is for my stay that ended 2 days back. Ended up paying 1600+ USD for services that were disappointing. Hotel has a major issue with maintaining hygiene and while some of the other travelers have also said this, I still took a chance since I wanted something closer to Downtown. There are 3 images attached. They are from different days after the room had been make up. You would see either hair strands or dustbin on top being left. Such bad and pathetic standards of housekeeping that you need to experience after coming from work everyday 8-12 hours. One of the pictures was taken after a thorough cleanup was done on my insistence to the front desk. This is all the more disturbing as it ended up leaving hair strands more visible once you see the bed. Please also note that the the room is cleaned "every other day" and the staff doesn't follow any routine (At-least I didn't experience it). It was cleaned on 3 days and 1 it wasn't. When I called up one evening to check on this, the evening staff was so rude with a high pitched voice that it was almost threatening. Very disappointing experience. The reasons for 3 stars are 1) its location proximity to downtown 2) Day front desk staff that is super helpful and 3) rooms are big My email to Hotel GM had a response of apology. Not sure if apology is enough for charging this hefty amount but not delivering on services or politeness parameters. If your stay goes well, take it as a chance and be happy.
