Nice room, great bar, good location. Was there for a Modesto Nuts baseball game, went pub hopping before and after the game. Went to the hotel bar until it closed at 11. Then went to neighborhood breweries. Breakfast would have been $18, went to Mr. T's donuts instead for donuts and coffee before heading back to LA. We were on the 7th floor but could still hear the train whistle a couple of times during the night.

Housekeeping began entering the room at about 8:15 as I was changing. They knocked but did not announce themselves AND began opening the door as they were knocking instead of waiting for a reply, and we had to yell a second time not to enter. Our DND had fallen off, but they should always wait for a reply. The door was open partially before they stopped; this was unsettling. We're used to complimentary water most places we stay, and my husband didn't notice the water wasn't free. So, while it was marked, when you're traveling and exhausted this was still not hard to miss. There was a very frequent LOUD train horn, which woke us up several times throughout the middle of the night. There was lots of street noise too. There was a vent/fan in the shower itself, which was extremely dirty. There's a charge for both valet (more) and self-park, which is walkable but across the street.

This place is SO disorganized. No clear communication between the front desk and the breakfast restaurant. Go to the restaurant to explain we didn’t receive vouchers so we just wanted to pay for our food. Told no we have to go to the front desk to get vouchers because we should have one for every person staying in the room. Go to front desk to get vouchers they ask us there how we want to pay for discounted vouchers, cash or card. We tell them charge to the room. We come back to use the vouchers get cleared to go eat and then they hunt us down to tell us we got discounted ones so we still need to pay. WTF?! We explain the front desk said they’d be charging our room for them. They tell us we still have to pay at the restaurant. Thank GOD we didn’t pay in cash otherwise we would’ve been charged twice for mediocre food. Absolutely ridiculous! If I wasn’t here for a business thing I’d have checked out immediately after this ridiculous morning.

Lovely stay. Rooms are clean and spacious. However, towels need upgrade. Quiet. Staff is friendly. I didn't give 5 stars because I didn't like that they charge separately for parking $12/day. They should build it with the price of the rooms to make guests feel more welcome.
