"Nice hotel. Close to hospital."

Nice hotel overall. Parking for guests at $25 x night is expensive. The warm cookie is a nice touch by Hilton. Close to medical center (as the name implies). Not much to see at a walking distance of the hotel.

From entering the hotel early and being able to check in, great suite, so comfortable! Friendly reception, remembered me from last visit; super comfortable room; and Armando serving us in the restaurant at dinner remembered my favorite order, and more than super efficient, super friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough about how pleasant the experience here has been! ❤️

"Not even friendly staff can overcome the dirty setting"

The welcome was friendly and inviting (this is the part where the manager zeroes in on this statement in an attempt to rebuke my review...), but it cannot overcome the state of the rooms. Windows so dirty you can barely look out. The bathroom has weird sap on the ceiling and there is no water pressure. My welcome to the room was several bits of trash in front of the door. Needless to say, I forgot to pack some house shoes. Gross. White the location is ideal (this is again the part where the manager zeroes in on this statement in an attempt to rebuke my review...) for business with the medical centers, it does not really compensate the disgusting dirty state of the hotel. Noise levels are so so. Not their fault, but there are many hospitals and, as such, many emergency vehicles. Sleep quality is poor courtesy of the jet engine known as the AC unit. Would I come back? Heck no. Next time I will ask for an exception to the budget and stay in a place that is clean. No need for fancy. Just clean. Avoid.

We love this hotel. We stay every time we come to town to go to MD Anderson for my mom. The shuttle is always on time and very reliable. Seeing familiar faces in the staff is always reassuring. Especially the kindness of Maria in the morning and Armando in the evening at the restaurant. Armando makes us feel welcome each time we come and it’s a joy to see him and his smile. I feel like I’m coming home when I walk into the restaurant which is so nice. Thanks Armando! It’s people like you who keep us choosing this hotel.

"Doubletree by Hilton was a great eperience!"

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 1/2 weeks for a medical procedure. We stayed on the sixth floor and it was very quiet. Our room was cleaned every day with kind consideration for our erratic schedule. The breakfast was good and hospitality was wonderful. Our shuttle to and from the medical center was "on time" and dependable. Our thanks to Rory and Sam, our drivers. We would definitely recommend if you are in the area!
