"Decent enough with a few minor issues!"

A decent choice if you are looking for a simple hotel close to Broadway. Overall we had a positive stay - the location was the perfect walkable distance to where we wanted to be but enough away to be out of the crowds. Rooms were large, clean and had everything you might need - smart TV, mini fridge to store your drinks and snacks, hair dryer, desk space, suitcase stand, luggage storage at check out, room service, Starbucks on site etc. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because when we checked in, the young girl on the front desk was blunt and slightly rude. No service with a smile, no extra information or “enjoy your stay”. We managed to be polite and smiley after a long day of travel so anything would have been nice. Other staff were more welcoming so it’s a shame that was our first impression. Secondly, was the air con in the room. When we had this turned off, it would blast out a very loud, strange, squeaky, creaky noise. Unfortunately this happened early hours in the morning which causes a bit of a scare when it’s pitch black and you’re in an unknown place. It was easily resolved by turning the air con back on so we just left this on the whole time (therefore a bit cold). Overall, a good stay for what we wanted and we would stay again if we were in the area. A few little bits to update or improve but not totally off putting :-)

"Convenient Location Circa 1980's"

First time in Nashville and wanted a hotel location near but not too close to the busy Broadway Street. It is an easy walk to Broadway. Hotel interior is a study in 1980's business class..dated but interesting. The room was large, comfortable and quiet (windows face interior courtyard area). Only issue was with some noisy neighbors who came in late and were loudly enjoying their stay. Quiet hours start at 10pm..and front desk assisted with a single call to the room. Problem solved. Kudos to the helpful and friendly front desk staff. Yes, you pay for overnight parking and the attendants were also helpful.

"Terrible !!!Doubletree Downtown Nashville Never stay there!!"

We booked our trip and hotel 3 months in advance,I recommended this hotel from previous stay few years back! Our flight and hotel were verified and paid for at time of booking.Myself,my adult daughter and friend were so excited. We arrived September 15th staying till September 18th at the Doubletree downtown Nashville knowing we were within walking distance to Broadway St.Our flight was from Toronto,Canada. As we approached front desk check in the receptionist asked for our booking information she glanced at her computer with a puzzled look on her face we asked is there a problem she said she had to get her manager.Tara Kiernan Manager on Duty came out to talk to us she had a look like we were bothering her We were handed a paper with our stay dates that informed us Doubletree Hilton Nashville Downtown were unable to honour the guaranteed reservation! We stood there with our luggage plus a $40 cab ride from airport to this hotel to be told within the last week a conference was In Nashville and booked in the rooms so they automatically bumped us out of our room without any notice! That we weren't the only ones 25 other people were bumped out of their reservation too! As if this was to make us feel better!Tara showed no empathy to our situation. Stood there with a smiling grin, zero professionalism telling us guess you shouldn't have booked 3rd party and laughed! We asked how she would feel if this was her and her friend's in this situation Tara gave no comment. We said its hard to believe the hotel just found out about the conference hosting 10,000 people she replied we only know week before!Which we believe untrue. Tara then said she took the liberty of booking us a room at Hampton Place Vanderbilt /Elliston Place which is not any where close to downtown or within walking distance! We asked for cab fare to this hotel her reply I have no way of doing this other words your on your own!She walked away at that point! We were so upset and furious how she could get away with this.We grabbed our luggage headed to front door where the valet baggage guys were. They asked what happened and couldn't believe our story and told us exactly how far away The Hampton Hotel was and gave us few hotel suggestions. We proceeded back to reservation desk and asked to speak with the manager Tara. She walked out of her office with the look of we were disturbing her again! We asked if she could call around to find a closer hotel as were weren't prepared to cab it all thru our stay to downtown, she told us call around urself but all hotels will probably be booked due to conference. We stood there stunned first of all we don't know the hotels near by or have a phone plan to allow us to do calling in US.She stood there once again with grin laughing making matters worse. We did ask her to call The Hampton to see if shuttle service available with hesitation she reluctantly called no shuttle either! At that point she just stood there having no remorse or how inconvenient and unprofessional on her part and The Doubletree hotel it was! We had no choice to leave the hotel ,pay for another cab in which we told the cab driver what happened and he couldn't believe it and actually called few hotels for us but they were booked for our dates. The Hampton was welcoming and very professional regarding our situation, they provided free breakfast for their guests and coffee and tea at all hours self serve! They have a beautiful out door pool that we couldn't use do to no bathing suits were packed not knowing what a disaster The Doubletree Nashville put us in! I would never recommend anyone going to Nashville stay or book with Doubletree Downtown Nashville!! Certainly Tara Kiernan should not be representing your hotel! How could this be allowed after hotel dates confirmed when booked. We certainly will be contacting our travel agency regarding this matter! Veronica H

"Great hotel & close to the nightlife!"

Love the staff at the front desk, they took care of me right away and made me feel welcome. Hotel rooms was nice, clean and the beds were really comfy, the breakfast was good, and the lobby bar served really good drinks. The location of the hotel was not too far and not to close to the night life action on Broadway. Only criticism i have to give is that i was missing a pool area where you can relax before the festivities begins, also they only have valet parking, no self-parking. Otherwise 10 thumbs up!
