Hotel is OK but 4 miles away from city center. Noisy as it is close to a highway. Rooms were OK. Overall a bit disappointed. Easy parking on site

"Great bang for your buck!"

This was a great bang for your buck! We stayed here during the Annapolis Sailboat Show /Thur-Mon. When we booked the room several months ahead; they were one of the few locations that still had availability. No regrets! Great prices and very clean and friendly. Besides, who doesn’t like warm cookies when you arrive?! It was less than 4 miles from the boat show! That means the courtesy shuttle (Limit of 5 miles) could take us there and pick us up when we called. The drivers were excellent! I would book here again when in Annapolis.

"Hotel in rough shape."

Staff is generally helpful and friendly. Shuttle service to downtown Annapolis and Naval Academy a nice touch. Free coffee in lobby each morning. But geez, hotel is in rough shape. Threadbare hallway carpet. Leak stains on room ceiling. Holes in room chair upholstery. Peeling wallpaper in guest bathroom. If Doubletree has brand standards, this hotel doesn't observe them. Such disrepair doesn't come cheap. Room was over $300 night I checked out. Cannot recommend.

"Sublime Soup as well!"

The difference between a good Doubletree and a great one can often be defined by something really simple. In this case, there were actually three such differences. The first was the Cream of Crab soup in the restaurant. Without doubt, this was the best I have ever tasted. Go for the larger size as it is only an extra $2. You will love it! The second and third were actually two on the front desk - Tamie and Trendy. Helpful beyond the call and lovely friendly people. Both are a credit to the hotel. The hotel - clean, comfortable and great value for money. Go there!

"Solid Stay"

This hotel is huge. It is like a hotel and convention center in one. Ok, maybe not that big, but there is plenty of meeting space. While the general feel comes off a bit dated, I was quite happy with how clean and orderly things were. Checking in was a bit slower than expected, however, they provide fresh cookies and a smile, so I guess a slight wait won't hurt. They offer a shuttle downtown, although they aren't very far so you can also get an uber cheaper than parking! That is win-win either way. Rooms are a decent size and similar to the rest of the hotel clean. Very sizable. Bed was comfortable as well. Water pressure was decent but I wouldn't really rave about their showers. I didn't eat at their bar-restaurant but the meal looks appealing and they have an happy hour. Overall, I cannot say much more but would recommend if you need to stay in the area.
