Avoid Hilton Doubletree San Pedro Room 227 if you want any sleep Room 227, which offers a marina view from the balcony, is quite noisy as it is situated adjacent to the ice machine room. Additionally, the refrigerator in the room is a free-standing unit placed on the floor without any enclosing cabinet, resulting in a lack of noise insulation, which made it very loud throughout the night. It is unclear what circumstances led us to receive what was likely one of the least favorable rooms available. The carpet was stained in multiple areas and appeared to be in need of a thorough cleaning. We resorted to wearing our flight socks while moving around the room. Although the room was of a reasonable size and well-lit, it was outdated and urgently required refurbishment. The placement of the coffee machine was inconvenient as there was no electrical outlet nearby, necessitating its relocation to the bedside, which was not ideal. While the view was pleasant, both the balcony and the furniture were in dire need of maintenance/replacement. During check-in, we did not receive any cookies, nor was there any acknowledgment of our loyalty tier, which is typically customary. When we first made our reservation at this hotel, the cost was quite high, and shortly before our travel date, we discovered that the same room was available for $160.00 less. Consequently, we canceled our original booking and rebooked, which proved to be a fortunate decision; otherwise, we would have felt even more dissatisfied, as the room was not worth the price we were initially paying, nor the reduced rate. Doubletree San Pedro appears to have become complacent. The hotel has guaranteed customers from the cruise industry as a result of their proximity to the port, and they appear to have stopped trying, both cleaning and maintenance are insufficient.

It's good for a quick stop and basic room. The cookies were okay, but could've been better. The rooms are serviced by a Soleus Air mini-split system which I was not immediately aware of until I called downstairs and someone showed me the extra remote, which I hadn't seen before. They do offer all-you-can-eat meals at their breakfast buffet, similar to the Embassy Suites, for $15, though. Still, the staff were all really nice and friendly. If you want a free breakfast and and a luxury suite experience, go to the Embassy Suites before your cruise. If you're just looking to relax and unwind before the morning of your big day, then Doubletree is your next best choice.

There are some pros and cons to this hotel. We arrived at 10p. Pros- the view of the marina is absolutely stunning. The front desk was very helpful. The warm welcome cookies- delicious! Cons- no towels in the bathroom. We showered and dried off with hand towels and wash rags. The toilet tank is barely connected to the toilet. The air conditioner has a super bright light on it and it was basically daylight in the room. Stains on the bedding and headboard.
