First Impressions: The staff we’ve encountered have been absolutely amazing — from check-in to the lounge, everyone has been friendly and helpful. Highlights: This hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the cruise port, and they’ll also drive you to places like Target, Vons, or nearby restaurants for free — a really nice touch. What Could Be Better: The hotel itself could use a refresh. The rooms would benefit from replacing the old carpet, which has an odor. The pillows and duvet constantly shed feathers, and I did spot a few bugs. Screens on the windows would also be great so guests can enjoy fresh air. Overall: It’s the personality and kindness of the staff that truly make this a positive experience, even with the room’s shortcomings.

Quiet with a large parking lot. The cookies are of course nice. Rooms were spacious enough. We actually found the place to be clean and quiet but nothing was overtly special. We were surprised that even we are Hilton Honors Silver level, there was no complimentary water because we booked with Expedia.

Alex at the front desk was amazing!! After a longer day of traveling with two little ones her smile and how she interacted and acknowledged the kiddos was a saving grace in itself even when she had expressed it had been a long day for her as well as I believe the hotel was hosting multiple vips. She was absolutely amazing and made the start of our stay perfect. No complaints from this mama. Customer service on point with this one. Location of this hotel is also a major plus, was able to get to multiple places we wanted to visit with ease. The room was decent, housekeeping was not used during our visit but when I passed them in the hallway it seemed as if they took much pride in their work and were friendly. Didn’t get the chance to visit/partake in the food by the lobby but it smelt good. Would stay here again if we have another girls weekend up this way for sure.

Stayed here for a sailing event. Our room was a good size and had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine the main double bed was comfortable and the pool was lovely and cleaning staff very friendly. That’s where the positive elements end. The single bed for our son who is 17 was woefully inadequate, extremely uncomfortable and squeaked every time he moved. These beds are not suitable for teenagers. Reception and restaurant staff hit or miss, had one very unhelpful and rude discussion with a receptionist when I asked for change and one waiter who really shouldn’t be in a hospitality job! No dishes or cutlery provided so if you want to do any self catering you have to bring everything yourself or go to Target to buy stuff. The hotel is very tired and needs a refurb in some areas as well as the rooms. We could only open one of our bathroom doors (which was badly marked) as the other kept coming of its runners. Parking at $25 per night is outrageous as it isn’t just a parking lot with no security and no discount although we were staying 9 nights. Food is average at best and hit or miss in terms of quality. Not acceptable for the price we paid.

The hotel is tied and in major need of investment. I don’t think the windows, carpets or external areas have been cleaned in years, we need to wear shoes in the room as the black comes from the floor into the bed! Food in the restaurant is average at best. We booked 3 rooms for 17 nights for the family including children, they could not have been put further from each other. This hotel is used by Air China where they have 50 of the rooms permanently booked. I understand it is owned by Chinese who put no investment back into it. A very poor example of a Hilton Double Tree,
