DoubleTree By Hilton Hotel Detroit-Dearborn in Detroit, MI

This hotel is disappointing. We stayed here while a family member was in the hospital. The restaurant was understaffed as there was only wait person working. The food was average. We paid for breakfast with our room and glad we did as the buffet breakfast was $25 per person. The variety was the same every day, soggy waffles, again the wait staff was one person. The following day the tables in the restaurant were blocked off so guests could not sit where they wanted and at times there were no available tables. What really irritated me was the laundry area, two washers and one was broken. The sign in the laundry area said change was available at the front desk. I went to the front desk and asked for change and the woman working curtly said "we don't have any change" I told her I already had a load washing and needed change for the dryer. I even asked why she could not open the coin box on the machine to get change but the answer was still NO. Fortunately I went to the restaurant's bar and a worker gave me the change I needed. Hallways were dirty, I noted a Cheeto that was outside of our room for five days. I extended our stay by one day and upon coming back from the hospital to find out we were locked out, key cards were inactive. Luckily there was a propped open door so we were able to get inside to ask why this happened and of course no good excuse. I wanted to again extend our stay by one day but was told the entire hotel was booked for the weekend, all 366 rooms! The room was fair with the bathroom needing some maintenance. The trash cans had recycling and regular trash but the containers were very small. Needless to say we will never stay at a Hilton again.

The location of the hotel was great. The condition of our room was not great. The room was dark, dingy, and with sticky spots on the carpet. The air conditioner in the room was not working properly, the only outlet in the bathroom was not functioning, and we were out of shampoo in the shower. We reported these issues each morning. When we returned to the room late at night, we found these issues were not taken care of. We where never even offered a different room. The outside of the hotel had over flowing garbage cans and garbage on the ground. After 2 days the cans were finally emptied but the garbage remained on the ground. We felt like management did not value their customers concerns and did not care about the appearance of their hotel.

My wife & I had the pleasure of staying at The Detroit Dearborn Hilton Hotel and the service was great. However, we left our Massage Guns under the bed and we live in Chicago. I called the office and left a message and the next day a Guy by the name of Nauman Chaudhry called back and informed me he would check out to see if he saw them in Room 115. Momentarily he called me back and told me he retrieved the massage guns and sent them back to our home in Chicago. Nauman, thank you for your kind generous honesty. You are a Scholar and Gentleman. We thought upper management should know what a great asset you are to the Company.

Had to write a review and thank the most amazing front desk for incredible hospitality- Tamara is a gem and should be the CEO of the entire hotel! She has a gift for hospitality. Hotel is awesome and very close to airport

Great stay here rooms clean and cookies were off the chain, everyone was friendly to us and there was a bar and restaurant in the hotel. Hours were good. Food was great we loved the chicken wings. Had them pretty much every single night. Thanks for everything
