"Club Level at the Beach Club - Perfect!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed May 22, 2019 NEW
We have stayed at the Beach Club many times but this was the first time we stayed on the Club Level. It was perfect. While it is more expensive than the equivalent non club level room, everyone in our party felt it was well worth it. Breakfast is served each morning starting at 7 am, snacks throughout the day, light food from 5 pm until 7 pm and desserts 7 pm until 10 pm. The food in the evening was so good that it substituted as dinner for our group on three days of our stay. On various days there were combinations of mini seafood sliders, meatball sliders, glazed salmon, Thai beef salad, clam chowder, buffalo chicken, fresh glazed carrots and green beans, Caesar salad, beet salad, shrimp crostini, heirloom tomatoes with mozzarella and always mac and cheese or chicken nuggets for the kids. Complimentary beer, wine and champagne are available all day long and it's good quality; J Pinot Gris, Hogue Cellars, Kona Longboard, Stela Artois just to mention a few. They even will pour your selection into a plastic cup to take with you to the pool. Cordials are also available during the dessert time. Non alcoholic beverages are available anytime. The lounge is open 24/7 although staffed from early morning until 10 pm. That's just the start. The people are so nice and accommodating. From Carlos one of the general managers to Robin, Madison and Tania at the front desk to David and Orlando (he remembered me by name each time I saw him!) who were serving in the lounge, each represented the epitome of service. Our party had three rooms. Each was well laid out with various sized balconies that honestly with the weather and the ability to be in the lounge, no one used. My wife and I had a one bedroom suite with a massive walk in closet. The beds were extremely comfortable providing a good nights sleep after walking the parks each day. The pool is by far the best pool at any Disney Resort. My grand kids loved the pirates ship slide into the pool. The Beach Club is convenient for getting to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Use the far end door on the first floor of the Beach Club and you are right next to the entrance to Epcot. There is a boat to Hollywood Studios that we just missed one morning and we all decided to walk. We got to Hollywood at the very same time the boat arrived. It's about a mile walk. Overall, I can't say enough nice things about this resort and the outstanding people who work there.

"Your own personal bit of Disney Magic"

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Beach club. The location for us is second to none as Epcot is our favourite park and within minutes of leaving our room we could be entering the world showcase. We requested a Balcony and were lucky enough to get this. The staff here are so helpful and friendly, they really are a credit to Disney, the mousekeepers are also so very kind, we received a short note from ours hoping we were having a lovely holiday, such a lovely touch and something that makes Disney hotels stand out from the rest. Beds were comfortable and the choice of tv channels including Disney tv acceptable. We were lucky enough to get a reservation at Beaches and Cream, the food, atmosphere and again staff where amazing... the ice cream is to die for! The shop cape may has the freestyle machines for the refillable resort mugs and whilst sometimes busy we never wait very long. If we could afford to we would come back every year.

"Location, location, location!"

We checked into the Disney Beach Club for 12 nights at the end of May. We were checked in very swiftly with no queue. The cast members were very welcoming and fully explained our Disney Dining Plan to us (which we had never used before) and gave us a thorough breakdown of the hotel and facilities. We requested a room on an upper floor and we were granted our request and had a room on the 4th floor. We were very pleasantly surprised when we opened our door to a very good sized room which was very inviting. There were 2 queen sized beds, sofa, a dual sink and a shower over the bath. We have visited Disney World twice before but this is the first time staying in the Beach Club – very nice! The only downside to our room – the view. We looked over a roof towards the parking lot and there was no view whatsoever. However, this wasn’t really an issue to us. The location is absolutely top notch. It’s a 5 minute walk to Epcot, a short boat ride away from Hollywood Studios and a short leisurely walk across to the Boardwalk. There are facilities on site for sit down meals, quick service meals and there is a shop in both the Yacht and Beach Club – a couple of minutes’ walk to each other. Disney Springs and all the parks are a very short drive away too. The swimming pool is a fantastic too. Sand bottomed, a good size and it looks fantastic. Great for a nice chilled out afternoon swim to get away from the busy theme parks. Very relaxing! Having not stayed at a Disney deluxe hotel before, our firm opinion is it is 100% worth the extra money – especially with the dining plan included. We will be back to Florida in the next few years and will 100% be staying at Disney’s Beach Club again!

"Not Disney's best resort, and very poor value for money"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

Let's start with the good - the Beach Club is right next to Epcot, and a shortish walk to Hollywood Studios. Access to these parks for rides, shows and dining is fantastic. The resort also has a pleasant location on a lake and the pool complex is good fun (perhaps more so if you have kids!). Onto the not-so-good - we booked a 'standard' room, and the first one we were given was directly above reception, overlooking the front entrance and was incredibly noisy. After refusing to move us somewhere quieter on the first night, they relented and we were moved to a different room for the remainder of our stay. Whilst this new room no-longer suffered from the noise of other guests, it was right next to a huge industrial plant making a load hum 24/7. You might say that we should have paid (even) more for a water view room, but given the amount of money paid for even a standard room, you should be able to expect better than this. Quick service dining options are also extremely lacking. Breakfast and lunch options are very few, and what was available was not worthy of a resort calling itself 'deluxe'. Go elesewhere (eg. Animal Kingdom lodge, or one of the 'moderate' resorts if you want better options). Generally, the resort seemed a bit soulless. The rooms are bland and the decoration throughout the resort seemed rather unimaginative compared to other Disney hotels. Overall, I don't think we'll be returning, there are much better options on Disney property.

I have no words to describe this resort fully. It has been amazing. Room fabulous. Have a garden view but did request a room with full balcony which we got and a partial view of the boardwalk. Within walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood studios although we have gotten the boat. Storm along bay pool is amazing too. Staff are fab also.
