My Fiance and I stayed here on the last night of our roadtrip; we explored the Smokey Mountains, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, and made our last stop in Asheville for the night before heading home. When we began the checkin process, there were two young ladies working at the front desk, one was assisting other guests, the other was standing with her arms crossed and took several minutes to address us. We told her that we’d like a room for one night and she began the check-in process. Finishing up, she said that there was a $150 cash deposit that was required, which seemed strange. We asked if we could put it on a credit card because who, nowadays, carries cash, it’s rare. She said she’d have to call her manager, she called and was approved to allow us to use a credit card for a deposit but that it would take 3-21 days to be refunded for the deposit, again, weird. We got to our room, showered, the water took a while to get to temperature, which I see now in other reviews, the bath linens were stained, again, it’s been stated in other reviews so it seems to be a common occurrence. Finally, we checked out this morning and mentioned to the front desk lady about our stay and inquired about the cash deposit because it still wasn’t sitting well with us, she said that they require a cash deposit because there’s local people that stay there that do drugs and their deposits aren’t covered by their damages from their stay. Be aware if you’re staying here.

From the moment I checked in with Lindsay, absolutely being dedicated to accommodating as best she could my wants and needs to loving my room and this being absolutely probably the best location in the southeast United States. I would highly recommend coming here!

Was it clean? Yes. Were the staff friendly? Yes. How was the breakfast? Not bad. But… For a hotel that clearly has a No Smoking sign posted on the front door, they really didn’t enforce that, because every time we walked down our 3rd floor hallway it smelled like cigarettes. There is no mistaking that smell. Also, my family of 4 needed more towels than the standard 2 sets usually provided. When we would go to the front desk to ask for more, they would say, “we’re out of towels, but you can have some pool towels”. I’m not a towel snob, but pool towels are terrible; they are small and scratchy. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to be provided a set of towels, and I would have happily used the same towel twice for my 2-night stay, but housekeeping took the towels we had hung up. So then we had to ask for more, again. And again, “we’re out of towels.” But here were all these giant laundry bins full of clean towels in the hallway for housekeeping… I don’t know, it was just weird. Time to order more towels from your supplier?

Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was great. Had to let hot water run for a few minutes before it got hot. Beds were comfortable but mattress had some nasty stains on it. Check in was smooth and easy. Parking is horrible once the dump trucks get there.

This property was very clean and the king bed room was spacious. Breakfast was good and the front desk staff nice. Location is also good. One negative: the walls are paper thin. We could definitely hear the kids talking next door, and they weren’t being overly loud.
