Comfort Inn & Suites Valdosta in Valdosta, GA

In October 2024, my university reserved seven rooms for a student event taking place a college in Valdosta, GA on November 24, 2024. The staff member who made the reservation was informed that payment could be made upon check-in, and there was no requirement to submit payment in advance. Additionally, since the reservation was made well in advance (over a month before the event), there was ample time to notify the university if payment was needed earlier. The group, traveling from northern Georgia, was scheduled to check in on November 23 and check out on November 24, allowing students/staff time to rest before the event. The group left the local school at 3:30 pm and arrived at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Valdosta, GA after 11:00 pm on November 23. Upon arrival, the staff member was informed that the reservation had been canceled due to non-payment by 8:00 pm on the day of check-in. When asked why the cancellation was not communicated by phone or email (as the reservation confirmation had been), the Comfort Inn & Suites front desk employee could not provide an answer but made several attempts to investigate. After multiple inquiries, the Comfort Inn & Suites assistant manager was reached and claimed that she had tried to contact the provided phone number. However, there was no record of this call on the caller ID or voicemail. The front desk employee then attempted to find alternative lodging within a 50-100 mile radius, but all hotels were sold out due to a nearby NASCAR event. As a result, staff had to contact parents to inform them of the situation, and the bus had to return to the local school. The group arrived back around 5:30 am. This experience was not only inconvenient but extremely stressful, especially considering the long journey and the exhaustion of the bus driver. I have made multiple attempts to contact both the local hotel and the corporate office to: 1. File a formal complaint (a case ID is currently on record), 2. Understand the reason for the reservation cancellation (given that we were told payment could be made upon check-in), 3. Seek reasonable compensation for the significant inconvenience caused. As of December 9, 2024, I have not received a resolution or response other than having to recount the events to a different customer service rep. This is POOR customer service if I've seen anything else. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK, especially if the reservation includes youth/school aged children.

This Comfort Inn & Suites in Valdosta, Georgia is really good. I started staying here after Microtel a Wyndham hotel in Tifton Georgia overbooked reservations, cancelled my reservation, charged me for the room, then gave my room to someone else. I will never stay at a Wyndham hotel again. This Comfort Inn & Suites is affordable and CLEAN. At Microtel I would have to clean and sanitize the room as it looked and felt filthy. When I step into a room at this Comfort Inn & Suites I barely have to wipe down surfaces. I like how clean and tidy the rooms are. The front desk staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast offerings are very good. They have eggs, bacon, bagels, toast, wrapped up pastries, cereals, yogurt, boiled eggs, waffles, coffee, juice, and water. The ladies who manage the breakfast area are kind and personable. They also replenish the items regularly. I highly recommend this hotel. Give them a chance. You will be glad you did.

THE STAFF IS AWESOME!!! I can tell you right now this is the place to stop, rest, breathe and rebuilt in every way! From the moment you walk in you’ve got Daniel and Teretha at the front desk. Also, Keshawn. All with Awesome energy and smiles for days. They took the time to let us know about the food around the area! The rooms were immaculately clean, no random hairs, smell or anything considering it’s PET FRIENDLY! We had our pup and she settled in so well. BEDS & PILLOWS( I melted into them) were awesome 🤩 NOW BREAKFAST 🧇 was delicious! It had hot food, eggs, ham, WAFFLES, breads, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal etc.. and COFFEE with good creamers! Make sure you say “Hi” to Ms. Lily she went around and said “Good morning” to everyone and made sure they were enjoying their stay and breakfast. Such a wonderful lady! ALL AND ALL, STAY HERE!!!

Great hospitality allllll around!! Every worker was super nice and friendly!! When I say everyone, I mean everyone!!! Keep up the great work!!! Thank you all soo much for your help! I definitely will be back! The breakfast was also good! Nice and tasty!

The outside of hotel was clean with a new decorative rock look about it inside the hotel it has an open feel with a large common area that has couches fireplace and tables this area is used for breakfast and for early bird during weekdays free beer wine and snacks the breakfast is a typical great comfort inn breakfast what is not typical is the staff Lillian and her partner make breakfast welcoming there upbeat personality get people excited about the day of course they keep it well stocked and clean their also a weight room and swimming pool the room was big clean with soft beds the location of the hotel was far enough away from interstate to be peaceful but close enough to be convenient I would highly recommend this hotel it is the best hotel in the area and cheaper than the holiday inn next door
