"Hood rat hotel"
June 2017
Bed was disgusting. everything was overpriced. we had a small thermal bag with our babies milk cheese sticks juice and chips and the pool guy said we couldn't have any coolers whatsoever at the pool. Very inconvenient for people with small children the elevators took forever to work and they expect you to go to the 9th floor to get snacks and milk for your children. And the only reason they do that is so they can sell you their overpriced alcohol and water and $3 hot dogs. Pool was fun for the kids. But could be better. Maybe water cannons that actually shoot water instead of just drip water out of them. Door to our room would not open. Had to go all the way down to the front desk and had a maintenance man come open the door. it was painted shut .took 15 minutes to get into the parking deck due to all the rental scooters blocking the road. Had to keep your children very close due to no one following traffic rules . scooters were driving on the sidewalk going in between cars driving very recklessly and not a single cop in sight. I saw three ladies twerking at the front entrance to the hotel on the way in my five year old son asked me if those ladies were sick .very inappropriate. One of the girls titties popped out of her bra right in front of my son I would not recommend taking your small children here. Door keys would stop working and it would take 20 swipes to get the door open. there were some good things here but they are not worth mentioning due to all the bad. The staff at the breakfast buffet were very nice but the employees at their gecko restaurant are extremely rude. there's other stuff but I'm tired of writing I would recommend staying somewhere further down the beach at a calmer area. Entire Hotel smelled like skunk weed. people were smoking so much weed you could see clouds of it in the hallway my wife even witnessed a drug deal go down in the parking garage right in front of our car

Off season visit. Great time! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Courtney got us registered on arrival and hooked us up with some fun adventures and saved us some money - and not the time share hoax kind either, just good old fashioned networking discounts. The tile floors in the room are odd at first. But when tread three up and down the beach barefoot, that cool tile floor feels spectacular your feet. Pools are heated in fall and winter so that was great. We definitely got our money's worth on this trip.

"A Myrtle Beach Classic, For Good Reason"

I first stayed at Captain's Quarters over 40 years ago. It was our family's "go-to" hotel in Myrtle Beach back in those days. Fast forward to more recent times... My family has stayed at another Myrtle Beach property that would best be described as a dump, but quite cheap. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money and go for Captain's Quarters. Captain's Quarters is clean, quiet, safe and well maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. Cleaning and maintenance seem to be going on constantly. There's a secure parking garage, with a valet available and security on patrol. The owners are obviously investing back into the property. Captain's Quarters was a great resort back in the 70s, and is still great today.
