"Hood rat hotel"
June 2017
Bed was disgusting. everything was overpriced. we had a small thermal bag with our babies milk cheese sticks juice and chips and the pool guy said we couldn't have any coolers whatsoever at the pool. Very inconvenient for people with small children the elevators took forever to work and they expect you to go to the 9th floor to get snacks and milk for your children. And the only reason they do that is so they can sell you their overpriced alcohol and water and $3 hot dogs. Pool was fun for the kids. But could be better. Maybe water cannons that actually shoot water instead of just drip water out of them. Door to our room would not open. Had to go all the way down to the front desk and had a maintenance man come open the door. it was painted shut .took 15 minutes to get into the parking deck due to all the rental scooters blocking the road. Had to keep your children very close due to no one following traffic rules . scooters were driving on the sidewalk going in between cars driving very recklessly and not a single cop in sight. I saw three ladies twerking at the front entrance to the hotel on the way in my five year old son asked me if those ladies were sick .very inappropriate. One of the girls titties popped out of her bra right in front of my son I would not recommend taking your small children here. Door keys would stop working and it would take 20 swipes to get the door open. there were some good things here but they are not worth mentioning due to all the bad. The staff at the breakfast buffet were very nice but the employees at their gecko restaurant are extremely rude. there's other stuff but I'm tired of writing I would recommend staying somewhere further down the beach at a calmer area. Entire Hotel smelled like skunk weed. people were smoking so much weed you could see clouds of it in the hallway my wife even witnessed a drug deal go down in the parking garage right in front of our car

"Never again"

We have celebrated our anniversary here at least 6 or 7 times in the past and NEVER had any issues...until now. 2nd floor room right above kids pool resulted in loud pool noises until after 11pm. 2nd floor room right at the parking deck resulted in loud partying at 2am. Next door neighbors at 11pm sounded like a herd of elephants. Upstairs neighbors at 1am were perhaps a basketball team. No iron. Safe broken. Appeared to be NO Covid prep in the room. Coffee and no fixings. 1 chair on balcony. Attaching a picture of my foot and the wipes used to clean them JUST from walking in our room. With any luck we won't catch Covid from this hotel stay.

"Throw the Captain overboard- STAY AT HOTEL BLUE"

My son and I visited Capitan’s Quarters for a soccer tournament Oct 2020. We booked the room on Trip Advisor which showed beautiful pictures but when we got there they tried to put us in its side motel which was a totally disgusting place and not part of the hotel at all but rather attached to a restuarant across the parking lot. This was unacceptable so I went back to speak with Frank, the gentleman who initially checked us in. He told us they were booked solid and would / could not do anything for us. For me, that statement meant he didn’t have decision making authority, so I asked to speak with his manager. Lesley eventually came out and reiterated what Frank initially said. She also stated they had a prior Groupon sale and since it was Bike (motorcycle) Week they only had a room in the main hotel for my first night but not the second and I would have to move and stay in the motel the 2nd night. I notified her that was also unacceptable and showed her the pictures from Trip Advisor of the room I booked. After holding up the check in line for 45 minutes or so, she eventually told me she would credit my money to another location and sent me to speak with their sister Hotel manger Evan, 2 hotels down on the left. She assured me it was a much better hotel and if I desired, I would have access to all of Capitan’s main hotel amenities. Not knowing what to expect after this debacle, I went and spoke with Evan at Hotel Blue. To my pleasant surprise, I received an impeccable room overlooking the ocean. All in all save the hassle and stay at Hotel Blue, FYI my room was 410.
