Candlewood Suites Louisville - NE Downtown Area in Louisville, KY

This Candlewood Suites hotel was perfectly located for our overnight stay in the city. The hotel is newer and perfect for a business trip setting. While we were not in need of it our room had a full, small scale kitchen. Overall, the room was small, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was warm and clean. It was $182.79 for a Saturday evening. I definitely would not say it was worth that much but that was the price we paid. If the rate was more reasonable, we would stay here again in the future.

I made this Reservation on a quick whim after exiting the ER and having a lot of things to do in the city. I made a very great stop being assisted quickly by the fabulous Alex! From the moment I was checked in, I was put in a very clean nice room and anytime I had an issue with anything at this hotel I would kindly come to the front desk and they would assist me with it and make sure it was correct fixed from the card or even gave me directions to the Piggly Wiggly. The associate Andrew was amazing so calm even killed demeanor. He would’ve thought I had checked in at the four seasons. Andrew even made a note about an issue I had with my room which was quickly rectified and made a top priority! Oh my goodness, the last part is the cherry on top or the icing on the cake. There was this one girl her name was Tiffany. I think she was a night auditor or maybe housekeeping assistant I can’t really remember what her title was, but she definitely deserves Hotel General manager. She was a beast! If they ever can, this lady named Jessica, I have a recommendation just internally promote Tiffany! Anyway, long story short this hotel was perfect one word perfect thank you to the staff!

Just want to give a shout out to the Director of Sales Mary Pusateri at this location. After an issue with reservations, she helped us find a room at another hotel and helped us immediately. I appreciate her extra effort and assistance which she didn't have to do. She went above and beyond.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. It is located just off the I 71 interstate and approximately one block from river road which is the road ( 2 lane road) that leads to the Waterfront park and the KFC YUM center which included is the Belle of Louisville Riverboat ( 6 to 7 min, approximately 2.4 miles), Joes Crab shack etc. This location is not in the city as is more rural, but is close to the city. This hotel is extremely accomodating. The rooms are very nice. It includes a full size refigerater (water pitcher), stove top, cabinets with utensils, pans to cook with, sink, coffee pot with coffee, sugar, sweetner, dishes, diswasher with diswashing liquid, dish cloth and diswasher pods, paper towels etc. We had the queen size suite which also besides the bed (very comfortable) had a large area to eat, a recliner and 2 very comfortable chairs and a flat screen tv located on the wall. There is a large closet with a ironing board and iron and hangers. The bathroom is large with towels, hand towels, wash cloths complimentary shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and hand wash stations. There is a tub/shower combo. In the lobby is a small store that includes free coffee machine with free coffee and free hot chocalate, the ice machine and more items to purchase than i have actually ever seen offered in a hotel ie frozen items such as chicken sandwiches, pizza etc, chips, ice cream, cookies, muffins, candy and the list goes on. You pay for your items at the desk. They also have complimentary popcorn and I believe cookies at times. There is something they call a lending locker. It has crock pots, books, games, utensils for grilling as has a grill on the pation and other items you can borrow as needed, never seen that before. There is a outside patio which you can smoke in and also a area if you have pets to walk them etc. The only issue is that they may think about more parking as parking lot is a bit small but it is free to park. The staff is absolutely outstanding, nice and extremely accomodating and this hotel is very clean and quite. I got the impression they cared about your stay and your comfort. Because of my experience my go to hotel is going to be the Candlewood Suites from here on out wherever i go. Loved the stay!!!!! It is an IHG hotel.

Adequate if you have no other choices. I had to stay in Louisville while there was a massive exhibition in town. Every single room within 2 miles of downtown was booked, so I ended up here. Kind of in the middle of nowhere. Close to River House but no way to walk there. No breakfast, but had a little store with limited breakfast items. It looks like this place was built to support the Galen Center next door which is now abandoned. The front desk clerk was as sweet as could be, but had very limited English skills. Brilliant smile though. Took me a half hour to check out due to system issues
