"Dirty animal soiled room - Zero Rest due to room parties"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

I found the hotel to be dirty. They allow animals in the room and ours was solid with animal urine and a barking dog next door. They also allowed large parties in the rooms. We stayed 5 nights and 3 of them we only got 2-3 hours of sleep due to parties going till 5 AM. The security staff was rude and aggressive towards us.

"Shameful bait and switch, please avoid!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed December 14, 2025 NEW
When I checked in I was put in room 505 which should not be open for guests due to its unacceptable state. A light fixture in the bed frame was broken, the air conditioning unit was falling off of the wall, the carpet was dirty. When I came back to my room for the night I found a cockroach crawling on my floor, so at midnight I had to have the front desk reassign me to a different room. The second room 511 was slightly better but still not deserving of the 4 star status this hotel claims to have. The shower didn’t properly drain, the lights were motion activated and kept going off while I was in the shower, and the towels were the worst quality I’ve ever used. I did not feel comfortable or safe at this hotel and feel it was a complete bait and switch between what the website advertised and what was actually reality. I don’t think I should have had to pay a dime for my time staying at this dirty run down two star hotel pretending to be a four star. Absolutely shameful.

"A Short Walk to Davis Symphony Hall"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed November 12, 2025
I booked a room at BEI San Francisco, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, last minute because I was going to see Queens of the Stone Age at Davies Symphony Hall and decided I didn’t want to drive back afterward. The hotel ended up being the perfect spot, just about a 10 minute walk to the venue. Check in was smooth and welcoming. Jing helped me out at the front desk and was incredibly friendly and professional. I mentioned that the room they gave me was fine, but I hadn’t realized I had booked for two people. Without me even asking, Jing upgraded me to a king size bed, which I wouldn’t have even thought to request. It turned out to be so nice, and I really appreciate him taking that initiative. He also went out of his way to explain all the amenities and made me feel taken care of right from the start. Parking was $55, which I thought was fair for San Francisco, especially since it’s within the hotel itself. I could park and take the elevator straight up to my room, which was super convenient. I called down for a toothbrush and toothpaste, and they brought them up quickly. Huge shoutout to the staff for that kind of service (and don’t forget to tip the folks who bring things up). There are also vending machines with drinks and essentials like medicine and shaving cream, which is a nice touch. All in all, this was a great find. Comfortable stay, excellent staff, and unbeatable location if you’re catching a show at Davies Symphony Hall. The surrounding area feels a little rough at night, so I’d stick close to the hotel after dark, but for convenience and service, this place absolutely delivers. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town for a concert.

"Customer Service Needs Some Work"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5
Reviewed November 02, 2025
The beds were really comfy, and the rooms were pleasant. However, there is room for improvement in the customer service. My last night I sprained my ankle pretty bad, but since it was late I wanted to wait until the next morning to go the ER, but I'm glad I did. As I get into the lobby we ask the receptionist for a wheelchair, they don't have one. She seen I was in pain and struggling, but it's fine I'll make my way up to the 14th floor. When I get to my room NONE of the cards work to my room. I send my nephew down to get them fixed, he shows up to the room with a security guard and lets us in. The security guard takes a picture of my ID and I ask if I can send my nephew down to get the cards fixed and he said yes. Only for my nephew to come back to tell me the receptionist refuses. What was the point of taking a picture of my ID then? So I head down and have to wait until she finishes with the line. It's not my fault none of the cards work! She smirked in my face and never once asked if I was okay, if I needed anything or sorry for the long wait. She then asked me if I wanted to add the gentleman was came down to the room and I said no he's only 15 years old. RUDELY she responded, "Like I said, do you want to add him" Which makes no sense because he doesn't have an ID. She was so rude it was hard not to be rude either, but I was in pain. All of the other receptionist I encountered were extremely nice. I think this hotel needs to invest in a wheelchair for their guest especially since their elevators take awhile.
