If you’re paying 700$ a night for a room and room is not ready at check in time there is something wrong with management . Stayed here for a visit and booked larger room and been waiting for few hours for room

Stopped here just to take the TRAM and well worth the price to do so. Cute bar/grill at the top along with a very high end $$$ restaurant. Views were AMAZING! Hotel looks great but again we just stopped to check it out. Great hiking as well.

We stayed here for one night as part of a cruise line's land tour, and I specifically chose the tour to be able to stay at the Alyeska. We were not disappointed! Our deluxe room faced the mountain, and we had a very nice view. We loved that the window opened and we could enjoy the cool air. The furniture was a little old and had some scuffs on it. We liked the nice towels, and we used the towel warmer in the bathroom. I was disappointed that the tub drained very slow due to a hair clog in the drain. The provided toiletries were nice! We liked the gas fire pits around the report, and we enjoyed sitting near a couple of them during our stay. Hotel bell staff were very responsive and delivered our luggage quickly. We did go to the Nordic Spa and ate dinner in the Bistro, which was nice. Our tour included tram tickets, and we really enjoyed this. The view from the top of the mountain was amazing! The little museum in the round house was nice. We ate breakfast at the Kaladi Bros coffee bar, and the service was quick. The gift shops were all very nice, although they were stocked with premium outdoor gear and only a few souvenir items.

"Almost up to par"

Room was lovely. According to reservations the "deluxe" rooms are the ones that have not been updated and you need to pay an extra charge (+60) for an updated "signature" room and an additional charge (+50) for early checkin. Service not equal to the prices charged. Coffee maker was broken in room and the response from the front desk was just go buy a cup downstairs. Really? The bellmen were very helpful.

"Overall. It’s awesome!"

It’s 5 star all the way. Beautiful rooms and views, with multiple places to eat and drink. We liked the Forte upscale restaurant as well as the new casual Heartland bar. We did not try the A-Bar. The tram ride to the top of the mountain is conveniently located but it’s $48 pp and the restaurant at the top was closed due to the season. The valet parking is also priced high and self parking is very easy in the lot or nearby. Overall. It’s awesome. VictorB
