Lime Kiln Point State Park

Lime Kiln Point State Park, also known as 'Whale Watch Park,' is a 42-acre park set on the west side of San Juan Island that encompasses an iconic lighthouse and bevy of shoreline sea life.

Recognized as one of the best whale-watching destinations in the world, Lime Kiln Point is a state park known for its beautiful panoramic ocean views. Considered a day-use park, Lime Kiln had a renowned 1919 lighthouse as its main attraction. Minke whales, orcas, porpoises, seals, sea lions, and otters frequent the shoreline.

The Park also features several exhibits for guests to learn about the whale pods at the Lime Kiln Interpretive Center, while other activities include hiking, scuba diving, and bird watching. The small park, packed with sea-life charm and beauty is a must-see for any San Juan Island vacation.
