March 17: St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the world’s oldest and largest parade of its kind. Watch bagpipers, marching bands and more as they march up Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street. The parade starts at 11am and typically ends around 4:30pm.
March 20 – April 3: Macy’s Flower Show
The iconic Macy’s Herald Square department store is transformed into a beautiful botanical area, with bright floral arrangements on display and special events including live music, kids’ activities and seminars will take place throughout the show. March 25 – April 3: New York International Auto Show
Get a glimpse of the hottest cars before they’re even on the streets at the New York International Auto Show, which features almost every new model out there as well as the most innovative automotive technology, the hottest exotics, the latest in green technology and more. Held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
March 27: Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival
This Easter tradition, in which celebrants wear festive finery and their best bonnets, started in the 1870s. The pageant is now an NYC tradition. Watch as the parade marches north on 5th avenue from 49th Street to 57th Street. St. Patrick’s Cathedral is an ideal area for viewing the parade.
