The House of Blues has been a renowned Myrtle Beach staple since 1997. With a prime location at Barefoot Landing, this music hall hosts artists from around the world. Visitors are treated to concerts by acts ranging from local bands to global stars. Also, take advantage of the outdoor stage and bar, known as “The Deck,” when open for the season.

Known as the “Best Backyard in Town,” the Boathouse Waterway Bar & Grill offers some of the best live music in Myrtle Beach. The Boathouse is home to an outdoor summer concert series known by music lovers across the nation. While the series runs far longer than the typical summer season, visitors flock from all over to see one of these concerts! Plus, if it rains, there is an indoor stage for non-stop music.

Tip: The summer concert series is free to attend. With such an awesome ticket price, a mass amount of people attend these concerts. Arrive as early as possible to claim your seat!

3. The Carolina Opry

Would you rather see an award-winning musical production in Myrtle Beach? If so, get your tickets to a show at the Carolina Opry ASAP. This Myrtle Beach classic features everything from Broadway hits, pop music favorites, and gospel songs along with state-of-the-art sound and visual effects. This family-friendly show has also been called “A Big Hit” by USA Today!
Guests are invited to shop at the concessions stands before the show, where beer and wine are also available for purchase. And if you loved the Carolina Opry, secure tickets to the venue’s other performances such as:

Tip: Arrive anywhere from 30-45 minutes before showtime and watch the pre-show.

4. The Bowery

The Bowery has been entertaining concert-goers for over 75 years. In fact, as the birthplace of country music legends, Alabama, it’s easy to see why the Bowery is a top live music destination on the Grand Strand. This oceanfront bar offers concerts all week long, along with cold beer and great food. What’s not to love?

Plus, the bar is a mere 50 feet from the ocean. If you’re looking to get an Instagram-worthy shot of your night of live music, this is the place! Be sure to also try one of their signature drinks like the Trinidad Screwdriver or Fire Extinguisher.

Tip: The Bowery operates seasonally from March to October. Don’t try to go to a concert in February or November!

5. Hard Rock Cafe

The Hard Rock Cafe has been a destination for live music in Myrtle Beach since 1995. With an expansive menu and a notable name, the Hard Rock Cafe is far more than a rock n’ roll-themed restaurant. With a vast 30+ year history on the Grand Strand, Ocean Annie’s has been voted one of the Best Beach Bars in Myrtle Beach over and over again. This seasonal venue is open from March to October and offers everything from oceanside views to a poolside bar and concerts.

New to the Myrtle Beach music scene is a Nashville icon, Tin Roof. If you’re looking for live music in Myrtle Beach with a view, here’s your spot! The Tin Roof offers a rooftop deck where bands and musicians perform day and night, seven days a week. While you enjoy the local and regional bands, be sure to order from their made-from-scratch menu with Southern-inspired favorites.

Adding to their live music lineup, Tin Roof also hosts trivia nights, karaoke, dance parties on the rooftop, and a summer brunch series. And, this is only a handful of the events you’ll encounter at Tin Roof.

Tip: As a new venue with a hefty reputation, the Tin Roof is often packed. If you’re not a fan of crowds, visit at an off-peak time or avoid the rooftop area.
