Why You Should Go
Allow us to set the scene. Palm trees and an ocean breeze create a captivating atmosphere on a private Oahu beach. A traditional lei greeting makes you feel right at home. Then, at the sounding of the conch, it’s time for the festivities to begin!
The list of activities for the evening includes fire knife dancing, a Royal Court of Polynesia procession, and, of course, a mouthwatering Polynesian feast! The events all serve to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Pacific. The cultures of Tahiti, Samoa, Fiji, and Hawaiian Americans are all represented.

The sunset fades to a starry night, but the evening is still lit up by the glow of the underground oven and the exciting action of Polynesian dancing and music. Once the party sadly reaches an end, you make your way back to your luxurious Hawaii hotel with plenty of new memories and pictures on your camera roll.
Fun Fact: The luau is located at the former dwelling of Rosalei and William Stephenson, who were known for hosting luaus. Germaine’s Luau has been around since the 1970s, but its current CEO is Toby Kusaka.

Insider’s Tips
It probably goes without saying, but a Hawaiian shirt is the perfect attire for a luau. We recommend dressing casually and bringing a light jacket in case it gets chilly after dark.

Since Germaine’s Luau takes place on the beach, wear flip-flops or sandals for walking in the sand!
