Beyond the theme park gates, there is a whole other side of Orlando to explore. Get up close to Florida gators, go for a high-speed airboat ride and even discover the space coast at Kennedy Space Center. Spend a few days (or more!) at all of the amazing Orlando theme parks. You could easily make a vacation out of Disney World alone, as the park has four themed lands to explore – Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. To go behind the scenes of your favorite movies and characters visit Universal Orlando Resort. Thrilling attractions like The Incredible Hulk Coaster and The Simpsons Ride make its two parks – Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios – one of the most popular places to visit in Orlando. Combine this with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where you can immerse yourself recreations of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, and you have a world-class theme park experience. And that’s just the beginning! Other theme parks include the African-themed plains of Busch Gardens Tampa, bricktacular fun of LEGOLAND Florida and aquatic thrills and spills of SeaWorld, Aquatica and Wet ‘n Wild Orlando.

Places like WonderWorks and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum provide a place for mind to wonder, and showcase the truly strange and bizarre. FantasySurf and iFly Orlando add action-packed thrills to your day, as you can learn to surf indoors as well as take on the sport of skydiving. The fun doesn’t stop there, though! Families can race go-karts at Fun Spot, greet the greater reaches of our galaxy at Kennedy Space Center and even experience the lighter side of Orlando at shows like Blue Man Group. Speaking of shows, dinner shows are served nightly in Orlando with Pirate’s Dinner Adventure and The Outta Control Dinner ranked as two of the best.

Explore the other side of Orlando, Florida at attractions highlighting the natural appeal of the area. At Gatorland, not only can you get up close to a true Florida gator but you can fly through the skies and over gators and crocodiles on the their Screamin’ Gator Zipline. Orlando might be located centrally within Florida, but the beach is definitely within reach! Add a day on the coast to your vacation to truly enjoy all of Florida’s best attractions. Kids young and old love the golden shores of Clearwater Beach on the west coast, and Cocoa Beach to the east. With access to a beach only about an hour from Orlando, spending the day in the sand and surf is a breeze!
