Celebrate Jamestown Day at Historic Jamestowne and Jamestown Settlement on Saturday, May 13, 2017, in historic Williamsburg, Virginia.
During the celebration, visitors will be treated to a day of fun and discovery. At both locations, guests can participate in and enjoy a wide variety of activities, including:
- Witnessing Historic Jamestowne’s ongoing archaeological discoveries at the 1607 fort.
- Watching one of Jamestown Settlement’s ships sail.
- Family-friendly activities, games, and fun.
- Military and maritime demonstrations.
- Traditional music and entertainment.
To dig into archaeological findings while celebrating Jamestown Day, head to Historic Jamestowne. The historic site will feature tours, demonstrations and continued archaeological excavations of the 1607 fort. Visitors can also meet English colonists Captain Edward Brewster Anne Burras and see displays of English and American Indian trade and archery. Plus, the St. Maries Citty Militia will be on hand to demonstrate 17th-century military tactics. A variety of ranger tours and other programs are also available for those who wish to participate.
In addition, the ship, “Discovery,” will sail at Jamestown Settlement mid-morning on Saturday, May 13th on the James River. The Discovery is a replica of one of the three ships that brought colonists to Virginia in 1607.

What to Know Before Heading to Jamestown Day
To celebrate Jamestowne Day at Historic Jamestowne and Jamestown Settlement, separate admission is required.
Admission to Jamestown Settlement is $17.00 for adults and $8.00 for ages 6 through 12, free for children under 6. Historic Jamestowne admission is $14.00 for people over age 16, free for people under 16 (admission subject to change). Ample free parking is available at both locations. Jamestown Settlement operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, while Historic Jamestowne is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily.
