"Average motel quality"

This "resort" was more like an average quality motel. The room cleanliness was mediocre. The bed and bathroom was low quality. Walls were thin and noise from other guests clearly came through. The front door didn't close properly without putting all your weight into it. We'd avoid this location in the future.

This weekend I booked the Wyndham Orlando Resort with two of my friends. When we got there we kind of had a weird feeling because it felt more like a motel and this is not what we planned on staying in. As soon as we got into our (first floor) room we had a weird feeling because our door was hard to open unless you used all of your force and it didn’t close unless you pushed it shut very hard. At around 1:15 in the morning everyone in my room was asleep and we then were woken up by an extremely loud banging noise on our hotel door. We ignored it at first thinking maybe someone was trying to get into their friend’s room and then they would soon realize it was the wrong room.. nope we were so wrong. This man repeatedly banged on the door for 5-10 minutes as we were saying “someone’s in here, someone’s in here, wrong room”. He stopped for probably a minute and then forced the door open. Thank god we had the latch across the door because he couldn’t get in, but the door flew open as far as it could go and this man stood there for 10 seconds and didn’t say a word. I immediately pressed the ‘emergency’ button on the phone to call the hotel and I was put on hold which led me to then hang up and call back. When I eventually got an answer I explained that someone just broke into our room and we needed someone to come to our room right away.. no one came. Thank god we knew many people staying at a hotel close by that we could call because we felt like we needed protection and needed to get out of there as soon as possible and as safely as possible. We proceeded to then go to the lobby and talk to the woman at the front desk who seemed completely unphased and unbothered. The security guards at the hotel were making jokes saying things along the lines of “was the guy good looking like me?” and “did you think the guy had a gun? haha”. We were extremely shaken up and honestly feared for our life. The fact that we were so scared and felt absolutely helpless was something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. We had to put a chair to block the door while we prayed this guy didn’t come back to try and get in again, we sat there in the dark shaking, trying not move a muscle while we waited for the people that we called to come get us. I want this hotel to take these situations more seriously and realize they need better security. This hotel is definitely falsely advertised online, it looks absolutely nothing like the pictures and videos on social media. Not to mention the hookers that passed by my room as we were about to leave.

Shady business, rude staff, hidden fees, turist trap. Stay as far away as possible. Parking location not safe at all, open to the strip mall outside. Stayed on a room next to the ice machine which kept beeping ALL night Do not let the location fool you.

Great property with wonderful staff. The food was good. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was great. I loved being there. The conference rooms were very comfortable and well lit and not too cold as is usually the case in Florida.
