"Hotel transfers with aloha"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We had two airport transfers during our recent Waikiki holiday. Our drivers Lance and Bradley were charming, professional and funny. Despite making many stops the transfers were timely and entertaining. We talked with the drivers about everything, from life in Oahu, to history and contentious topics like the planned telescopes on big island. It's a crying shame these guys get paid such a low minimum wage, island locals are flat out affording a simple life in such a tourism driven economy, where small business suffers from over-development. Be sure to tip your drivers, their livelihood depends on it, and sadly many locals end up leaving their home land because of high living expenses.

"Great Maui one day tour with Björn"

I went with my sister on a 1 day Maui tour from Honolulu. All was perfectly arranged with flights and transport. But the best part of the tour was our great very knowledgeable guide Björn. His energy, love for the island and huge base to provide information from made the difference. I still do not understand how a person can talk so much during 8 hrs., but he did a fabulous and totally committed and enthusiastic job!

Roberts Hawaii is the tour company I used to set up my time on the Big Island. EVERYONE I dealt with from the Honolulu airport, to the Hilo airport, to the cars and tour guides…they were ALL exceptional!!!! Most of my readers know I do NOT use any guide without checking with TA first and this group came highly recommended and I’ll vouch for that authenticity!!! Knowledgeable, nice, and fun and boy did I get my money’s worth with this trip to the Big Island!!! Thanks to all of you on the Roberts Hawaii Team!!!! You were the best!!!

"Spend the money on a hire car and DIY"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

While the drivers do their absolute upmost to make the trip informative and enjoyable, you are a number in the money-making business. The Island Circle trip consisted of three stops that seemed to be a financial sharing deal. The "Rest Stop", a gift shop and pearl market. "The Ranch", a tram ride looping a small section of the bottom of the mountain (which included indistinguishable audio of I think a history relay) and stop for a photoshoot, returning to the cafe and yes, gift shop. Last stop, "Dole Plantation" where you can spend more money on consumables and you guessed it, more gifts! Horrendously overpriced gifts. Later in our holiday, we found the same item I'd been considering, for half the price in a little gift shop in Haleiwa. Unfortunately, we had booked a tour to Pearl Harbor at the end of our holiday with them and it was just as woeful. Rushed in and out of one part of the museum followed by a drive-through tour of other significant places of interest. Really, hire a car and DIY. You will gain a far better experience.
